Marietta college is a great school that has a beautiful campus with historic buildings and well kept green spaces. I love laying out on Harrison Lawn to do some homework! In my experience, the professors are very knowledgeable and are always ready to lend their help. Go Pios!
I am a commuter at Marietta College. Being a commuter is very hard because most students live on campus. If the social aspect of college is something you want definitely live on campus. Overall, the campus is nice and the class sizes are small enough that your professor knows you by name (this is a plus)! The biggest downfall is the price of tuition.
It is a very nice campus to spend time on in the evenings. The landscape and building are very picturesque and make a great place to hang out. The Masters program I am in is very nice with wonderful professors and staff. I highly recommend the Marietta if tuition isn't an issue. The town it's self is very neat as well, lots of bike trails for the warmer months and small shops around town to explore, and of course bars.
It is a very great college I am glad to be a part of the community. The activities that are on campus are both fun and inviting to all. The academics of the college serve right to the price we pay as students. The on campus living is very suitable for the price that’s stated.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Marietta College is 61%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I have got a lot out of my college experience so far. I have become much more responsible and independent. The teachers treat you like adults and you are forced to grow up quickly. which is a good thing. My abilities get tested every day in class and I am pushed to reach my highest potential. I plan on attending law school after I graduate, a dream that most of my teachers back in high school thought was far-fetched. However, my professors at college incourage my aspirations and give me the confidence I need to be successful in achieving my goal. I have also met some amazing people from all around Ohio, as well as the nation and the world. I wouldn't trade my experience at college for anything.
Members of my family that are always there to support me and to be a resource to help me strive to succeed.
Marietta College is situated in a smaller town and is nowhere near a larger city.
Some one who doesn't want to work for their grades. Needs big places and lots of people.
the profs. They know what they're talking about & they will help you alot if you need it.
It is a small, liberal arts school that succeeds in providing students with a great education.
There is very limited parking. The food is not very good and you have to purchase the meal plane to live on campus which is why I moved off campus. Some of the administrative staff are not very friendly or helpful.
The quality of education that I'm receiving here at MC. It's amazing! Being an education major, I also brag about how fast the Education department gets its students out within the first year. Finally, I always note how much my advisor checks in with me during the year and makes sure that I'm keeping up with my studies.
A liberal arts reputation for petrolium engeineering and sportsmedicine.
After driving up to the campus, I didn't consider any other schools. I decided on Marietta on my first visit!
I wish I would have known to use facebook as much as possible. I wish I would have talked to people more and gotten to know more people before I came here. Upon arrival everyone was super nice and so willing to help me out, but I could tell that people had really taken advantage of facebook and already made connections that I would have to work on starting at that moment.
Someone who knows High School does not prepare students for college and is willing to work hard the first semester and first year of school. Freshman year is the roughest on our students.
