I like it so far. I met with the professor and a few of the students. People are friendly.
I think it's a good college in it's own right. There are a lot of stuff to do around there and apparently they are pretty fun. The college looks clean and simple in a way, it's not exactly comforting but hey what are you going to do about it? All in all, its great but I'm indifferent.
It's a pretty great school. They focus on helping their students succeed. The school helps its students navigate their way through their college careers. If you need help, it has a multitude of accessible features that can help you out. The school is also very diverse. That helps students fit in and not feel like they don't belong there. I am happy to be a student there. I know they will help me achieve my dreams.
Mercy College is an academic where intellectuals and athletes from all walks of like can easily thrive. The class sizes are small and well adjusted. The professors are almost always available through email or have regularly scheduled office hours. Mercy College is an excellent place to pursue your degree or move on to higher education.

To Parents: I think it is very important to allow your child to research and apply to schools that they are interested in. Pushing a child one-way or the other, could result in an expensive mistake! Do the research with your child, give input and offer to visit colleges they are interested in. To Students: Find what you want in a school, but don't skim over any details. Wherever you go will be your home for as long as you stay there. Make sure to check out extra-curricular courses, as well as sports teams and available after school activities. Also check the variety of courses, because it provides the student with the ability to change their major, or pick up an unrelated minor. The best way to get real information about a school is to speak to the alumni, because most of them are going to be honest. Check out the websites of schools that you are interested in. Majority of them offer a way to contact alumni. Once you get there, be social, ask questions and find your niche. Having a good support group of friends is crucial in adjusting to your new world. Good Luck!
When I talk about my school i normally brag about the small classroom which allows better interaction between the students and teacher. I mention the great food which is inexpensive, and i tell them about the awesome Trailway which is 5 minutes away from the campus.
Mercy College is a wonderful campus with amazing professors, students, and counclers that work together and work with the students to reach their full potential.
I wish I would have known how much I would be taking out in loans before it came too close to the admissions deadline.
my classmates at mercy college was very helpful and supportive.
The worst thing about Mercy College is its reputation because a degree from there doesn't mean as much as a degree from a different institute.
i believe that the small classes are the best about my school. And the five differnt campus'.
Mercy College is not just any regular institution. It is a place where you can study all types of fields and your professors are friendly and very helpful. I would recommend a student who is social and hard working to attend this school. A student who isn't afraid to network with other people and meet new faces often will also suceed at this college. It would also be very helpful if you socialize with your professor often so he/ she can help you reach your goals for each class.
Mercy College was very financially inexpensive. I went to Sacred Heart University for my first two years, and then transferred to Mercy College. It cut the cost of tutition more than half and my experience at this school has been wonderful. The tuition cost is great and it definitely sets itself apart from other really expensive schools.
That would the amount of work thats given at one set time, in a small time period.
My school is best known for its landscape and how nice the campus is. Also their psychology and business programs. Mercy is also known for more programs that they provide for those who would like to further their education.
Someone who really does not want to succeed. Determination to stay focused is important.
There isn't really any frats or sororities on campus. The only housing resembling that is due to certain teams such as lacrosse having their own house to dorm in.
There is a big involvement with sports with many of the students attending Mercy. Although there is no football team, students play on the field hockey team, lacrosse team, baseball team, soccer team, etc.
Since class sizes aren't in the fifties or hundreds, you can really have a teacher/student relationship with your professor. Professors will know your name and are dedicated to helping you succeed.
Classes are not filled with fifty or more students so you really can have a one-on-one relationship with their professor if needed. I am in the music production/technology program so I take classes based on the fundamentals of music as well as the technology and techniques involved with recording in a studio or during live performances. General education classes are focused on learning for the sake of learning, but classes within your major are definately geared towards education for job seeking.
The library has an extensive list of books and have helpful librarians ready to assist anyone who needs help with research or have trouble with anything in the library. They have their own cafe and a quiet section where students can really focus if need be.
I chose to attend this school because it was one of the only schools to offer Music Production/Technology and was relatively cheap compared to tuition of offer school with this program.
The stereotype is that this school is mostly for Vet Tech. majors or Pre Med. majors and while that is one of the more popular majors, there are many other really good programs and this school such as the Music Production/Technology program or the communications program.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible.
