I believe it is a great school. Not much to do or participate in as it is such a small town. I like that is close to home and is providing me and other students with teaching opportunities allowing students to go out in the community and receive a hands on learning experience.
There are great people in Minot on and off the campus. The university does a good job allocating student funds in a way that they get back to the students. For a state university, they do a lot of really impressive things. It's no private school, and it's not on a beach, but it gets the job done if you are looking for your degree for less than average expenses.
Small University. Small CS and Maths department. Needs more activities. Boring atmosphere. Awesome professors. Very less cultural or recreational events. Needs more growth in several departments.

Sometimes you just have to choose a college and try it out for a semester. It is easy to transfer and every college has a different feel to it. As long as it has the major you want to choose, give it a try.
Small, fun school with good academic reputation.
Classmates vary greatly...
I think this school would be great for anyone interested in furthering their learning. The classes do take a lot of out of class time for homework, so if you don't have the extra time, right now might not be the right time for you to enroll.
Drinking is considered to be the worst thing in my school. The campus sets strict rules on this topic, yet I notice some students fail to abide by them. This campus is to great to have ill moraled students not complying with rules set and very noticeable.
I think the best part of the school is the student-teacher relationships. It is easy to talk to them about homework, classes, and our lives in general. They understand that we are busy out of school and in school. We have small classes at MSU so everyone knows everyone else on a personal level.
I brag that the class sizes are smaller, and there is more one on one between professors/students which is a major plus. I brag that the professors are there for the students, and they really want to help the students learn to the best of his or her ability. Everyone is friendly, it's a beautiful campus, and it's not too big where you know nobody and not too small where everyone knows everyone; it's the perfect size with a great atmosphere.
Sometimes it may at times seem like sports are everything, but that's an issue at any school. Academically speaking, there are really no frustrating aspects to comment on.
It is best known for low-cost tuition.
The classroom size is big enough that if you want to disappear you can; however if you want to be seen and heard it is also the right size for that. The students are very helpful and friendly. The community is very supportive and generous. The enviroment and community is safe and enjoyable. The town and school is a perfect size for a four-year university.
