We Asked Students, What's your overall opinion of this school?

Suhaad

Mission College is a place I call home it has a homey relaxed feel. The student body is extremely diverse. The students at Mission College want to see their peers succeed and help with any concerns . The teachers are truly love passionate and love to see their students flourish. I specially love all the resources offered such as the Eops, Mesa and Stem tutoring center. One area of improvement on this campus is the finical aid and admissions and records. Some of the staff in both departments have lack of training and do not answer students questions with correct information. I had a situation where on of the staff commented on my parents income which was highly unprofessional. Overall Mission College is a great place for one to earn their education in whatever field.

Not a lot of people do reviews on community colleges. So here I am. Going to Mission has helped me save a lot of money before transferring to the art school of my dream. There is no on-campus housing, of course, because it is not a 4-year university. You can rent around the area. However, the rent is pretty expensive. First of all, this is due to the fact that the college is in the Bay Area. Second of all, every area that is nearby a college is known to be pricey. Campus food is not bad at all. They have a variety of food such as Vietnamese, Mexican, etc. I especially like the Breakfast Burrito with bacon, omelet, harsh browns. There are also other types of drinks, and everybody's favorite fast food - pizza and fried chicken. Facilities are not cutting-edge but definitely not bad. They just demolished the old building and finished constructing the new building with more rooms and a more modern look. For STEM Major, there is the Science Building with labs, STEM Center that offer tutoring. There is also the Hospitality Management Building for Hospitality Management majors. Class size can varies depending on which classes you take. Some classes can be very impacted, such as Math or History. However, the classrooms are usually small and students are relatively quiet, so it is not too difficult to keep up with the material and participate in the class environment. Campus involvement is not too rigorous, might be due to the funding, but there are some that are quite interesting going on. There are many restaurants that serve different types of food around the campus. Professors are enthusiastic and friendly overall, you just have to pick the ones that are suitable to your learning style. In general, the college is not bad, and you can have some very fascinating experience going here!

Mission college staff has helped me to get into the classes I need so I can transfer to a university I want. The counselors are helpful and they want you to succeed, so they will try to save you time so you can transfer right away. The professors are great, they take their time to talk to their students out of class. The campus is average size, but its clean and the students are great.

Mission college is a friendly campus .... mission college is very helpful with academics and success at mission. the professors work hard to help support students pass there classes. this is a great school and I recommend this school to anyone that is interested in wanting to attend.

I'd say Mission College is a school for students who prefer books to parties and are determined to learn. It's a college filled with passionate students, faculty, and instructors who all care about one another and are willing to help.

This school is going under a lot of construction and remodeling, internally and externally. They are keeping hip to the game and giving students opportunities to succeed. It all depends on how the student wants to strive for success. My favorite idea of this school is that they do have tutoring services and the technology that they can provide to students if they need extra practice with their Computer Skills. The library is wonderful in the fact the library staff have a strict set of rules and they do not allow anyone breaking them for instance phone use is prohibited. Which is winner because their are students who can talk very loudly and can be quiet distracting. Online courses have become easier because the website canvas is straight forward and rarely goes under service. Because of their remodeling they've recently created a Kinesiology department and its updated with wonderful equipment and new dance rooms. While the main building is still up it is hopefully going to be demolished by 2018 and have a plaza replacing the old building. In all, this school is expanding and I am happy that I am coming to a school that is up to date.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Mission College. I have attended other colleges and I believe this one to be among the best. There is always plenty of parking, class sizes are small, teachers and faculty are available, and there are plenty of things to do and explore. I would recommend my current nursing program to anyone interested. The school also offers different degrees in healthcare.

Overall Mission College is one of the best community Colleges that had helped many students succeed there dreams in many ways. That includes money issues, many students don't want to spend so much money in universities and Mission College give students many career options to study for; for example, nursing, fire department, sports and way more . Mission college also helps students with transferring and help students save money in two years by not wasting two years in a university, when they can learn same thing in two years in Mission college and also pay less. Professors in Mission College stay after class to answer student questions and give extra time to those who ask for extended time in assignments; they are caring and try to help students pass their classes. Mission College has a gorgeous campus, and yet they're building more and expending the campus even more because so many students are coming to Mission. Mission College food is very delicious, and not even expensive compared to out side fast foods which are even more expensive then in Missions. Overall Mission College is a great, clean, and caring college to go make friends and study and learn together, but most important a school that will help you succeed and be someone in life.

It’s a decent community college. There are lots of options for GE classes and teachers are friendly and mostly effective. However, there is not as much of a community atmosphere, so you need to be independent and responsible for your own academics, and sometimes you have to deal with communication difficulties.

Mission College has provided me with everything I needed - opportunities and support. This is one community college that embraces it’s community. The diversity and the acceptance of that diversity is the beauty of Mission College. The faculty and staff are extremely helpful. All they want for us is to attain success. They organize various workshops for students regularly. There is job fair every semester on campus to offer you opportunities. Mission believes in equity. I am a proud student of Mission College.
