It's a good starting point for undecided people. It has a lot to offer and it's getting better and better as the school finds a way to better interact with the students. Even if the student transfer credits they still a nice jumpstart by starting here.

I feel that Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is a great school. I feel safe and everyone helps each other. Professors and advisors are usually in their office waiting for a student to come up with a question or problem they need help with. I feel that they also have a lot of resources to help students achieve their degree. One example is having academic coaching in the library. There are people who are chosen to help students and understand a concept.

Instructors and college staff are always friendly and willing to help. The best part of the college was the hands-on experience you gain. NWTC was different from previous universities I attended. Instead of teaching theory and philosophy, the college focuses on application of knowledge and skills. You are provided with the resources and experience needed to be successful in the field. The college also has a strong tie to the community and businesses that are looking for qualified graduates.

NWTC, was a great college. Very new and safe atmosphere and always adding new classes and programs. They were constantly doing things for their students. Each week there were different activities or events that students could participate in. The food on campus was good with variety, but cost an arm and a leg. Professors were very helpful and knowledgable and were easily available. I enjoyed taking classes at this college.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

When you think of college, you think of parties because that’s what others told you what college is. In truth college is your choice. You decide to go to class. Attending class might or might not go towards your grade. Attending class though will help you pass. The teacher might give you clues on what might be on the test and/or what to study. Always come to class prepared, you don’t know what the teacher might ask for. Take courses that you know will be helpful in the future. You could save a lot of money. When I was in school I didn’t think I’d chose Accounting as a program, so I didn’t take accounting in school. I should have taken that class just in case, so I’d know what I was getting into. I know that repetition helps me remember and if I'd taken accounting in school, I would have been more familiar with the material that I'm currently learning. All I'm saying is that college could be tough if you don't know what to expect and don't rush.

  5. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

How to get around! On my first day of classes, I was walking around like a lost puppy. The college's maps and directions were clear and informative and the staff was extremely helpful, patient, and kind in helping me find the right classroom when changes were made the last minute. I wish I would have taken advantage of the tours that were available beforehand that way on my first day, I would have been confident and aware of how to navigate around the school.

The people here want to help students succeed. I have talked with my Academic Advisor about my struggles on more than one occasion. She knows me by name, as do people in Financial Aid, the Library, Student Support Services, and several other offices. I know that I can always talk with my instructors and advisors and get the guidance I need. I feel NWTC has the most caring and helpful staff and administration of the schools I have seen.
