University of Detroit Mercy is a school that is meant for special programs that students are interested in. The campus is nice and small so you can definitely walk from class to class and since the school is small, you can make more connections with people. The tuition is definitely on the higher side but it is manageable with the scholarships. The food and housing could definitely be improved but it isn't terrible. If you are into specific programs such as dentistry, law, nursing or any others that are available at the university than you should join because the advising is really geared towards those programs. Overall not a bad school, as it is nice to be small and still offer some classes which are interesting.
The teachers are kind overall and helpful. decent place to attend and great programs offered as well. small class size allows for close teacher and student connection which makes learning much better for me! Lots of great clubs and programs to consider as well, for every different kind of person!
there wasn't a lot of socializing on campus, and few students actually live there. the campus was safe despite being in a bad area, and there are gates to keep the crime out.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for University of Detroit Mercy is 78%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Chose a school that will give you the most money but also the best chance to get the job that you truly desidere.
My school is a small school located in the urban area of Detroit that focuses trying to give students a positive but realistic outlook on life and they try to prepare you for it as best they can.
Known very well for their denistry and health related curriculum.
Best thing hands down was the research opportunities available to undergraduates in the chemistry department.
The worst thing about the University of Detroit Mercy is its location. Situated on 6 Mile and Livernois, the university boasts an urban location that is sadly summed up as a few worn down buildings and vacant streets. The night brings a sense of unease and the students often do not leave the encompassing gated zone after dark. Restaurants and entertainment venues are almost non-existant if one's desires are a sanitary and safe environment within 10 minutes distance. Coffee shops and other great study locations are nowhere to be found unless you venture 15 minutes away by car.
My classmates are spoiled rich kids.
A person attending University of Detroit Mercy should be academically focused and have a good career path in mind. It is a private University with a higher tution rate and a smaller competitive classes. In order to be successful at UDM a person needs to have the condifidence and drive to push themselves in order to pursue their academic goals. This person must be hard working and ready to put in the hours necessary to do well.
My school is best know for their medical, dental, and pre-law programs. They are also know for their small class size and their academics.
That I should take all my pre-requisites at a community college in order to ease financial stresses. Unfortunately, nobody advised me in such a manner.
It's not very affordable.
Someone who wants a huge campus, and huge classes, and cheap tuition. Someone who wants to live on campus or enjoy the neighborhood around campus. Someone who wants to go to the school because they have great sports teams, there is no football team, the biggest team is basketball and they arent vert good.
That I graduated in 4 years and have the best academic advisor that I will always stay in touch with and he will always help me with life.
Anime club, basketball games.
