Eastern Michigan University is a place where you can feel at home and comfortable studying. There is not a place on campus that I would not want to study at, and the Eastern Markets around campus are great for a snack in between classes. The overall campus is very clean and beautiful, especially in the fall. I'm very proud to have made the decision to come to Eastern Michigan University.
it is a diverse school with plenty of opportunities and places to be involved. There is always someone interesting to talk to and for the most part everyone is very pleasant. The classes offered are really unique and while we're there we are almost required to expand our horizons beyond the classroom.
It's alright. The campus is nice however the lack of student life and guaranteed smell of drugs in the air kind of ruins some of the experience for me. Many of the professors are also really frustrating and are hard to follow, even for beginning classes.
I came to Eastern Michigan in fall of 2019. I was nervous about being on campus and away from home but I quickly felt like I belonged. I enjoyed my freshman year classes; my professors were always prepared and accessible when I needed assistance. As a black girl going to a PWI, I didn't feel like an outcast. Majority of the students are respectful, warm, and welcoming which is important so you can feel comfortable. I am confident in my decision to stay at Eastern Michigan University to continue my education.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Eastern Michigan University is 72%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I have gotten the experience of being on my own. Learning in the college setting and taking my education to the next level.
My school has a nice relaxed environment in which I have had plenty of oportunities to enjoy my life and make new friends that I cherish highly.
This school is very open to all ethnic groups. It is a very welcoming community and makes me feel at home and like I actually belong here.
How nice the other students are around campus. Also some of my teachers that i have had have been great to me.
I feel that my peers lack school spirit. I love my school, and if the school promoted more of its sports and programs then more students will be able to take pride in their school.
My classmates are typically either really oppinonated and open in class lectures, or they are quiet and more resereved; it really just depends on the class I am taking at the time.
the thing that i consider the worst about my school is dorm room after ten sign in guest.
Eastern is really diverse and they provide many oppurtunities for students to reach their full potential in life. I love the campus because it's not too big and the classrooms are stull good to build a connection with the teacher.
the type of person that wants to succeed in life and make something of themselves.
Anyone.
I wish I would have known that there were so many hoops through which I would have to jump to get to the place where I wanted to go. It was not clear at the time (1968-1970
Eastern Michigan University is known for their College of Business. Eastern was voted one of the best business schools in the state for over 20 years.
The stereotype Eastern has is the cheap black school. This is incorrect, while we do have a larger body of blacks than most, there are just as many other races and ethnic groups. The cheap stereotype comes from our lower tuition rate, which makes the school more affordable, not cheap in a rundown way.
I love Eastern Michigan University. I have had my fair shares of issues with the school, like problems with figuring out financial aid, registering for classes, and Professors who were just flat out rude. However, this school has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me. For the most part, the people there are very friendly and accepting. I have been able to get help whenever frustrated and needing answers. My current GPA is so much larger than high school and it's because I am actually enjoying my classes and eager to learn. I am so proud to be an Eastern Eagle, and my fellow classmates seem to feel the same way. There is so much support at every event I have ever gone to (from football games to poetry nights). I have never seen such a diverse group of people be so supportive and accepting of one another as Eastern Michigan students and staff. It is just a great environment that I will always love and remember. College has been so special to me and I am just a commuter. The life of a student living on campus is even more enjoyable. They are front and center in the action and get to participate in many of the great events that Eastern has.
To be honest I am not sure what this question is asking so I am just going to go with what I think it's asking. Eastern is a fairly easy school to enroll in. They understand that standardized testing does not prove your academic ability and because of this the ACT and GPA requirements are not as high. This does not mean the courses available are any less trying. It is like any other university and it depends on the professor you have to determine the level of difficulty.
This is something I am not sure I am qualified to answer. I am not really involved with any particular group or activities on campus because of the amount I work. Though if i had to guess I would say it is Greek life and the LBGT community.
I have enjoyed majority of the classes as I have had a Eastern Michigan University. They challenge me without overworking me. Many of my classes have been very interesting and engaging. I think I have only had a handful of classes that I sincerely did not like and that was because I did not like the Professors' teaching styles. I am a big visual learner. I also love listening to lectures that are direct and give me the information I need. The class that I least enjoyed did not give me the information I needed directly and my grade relied heavily on reading of a text book. That's just not my thing.
Well, I realized it was the only school from the 11 that I applied where I would know my professors and they would know me too. I also got the chance to work on undergraduate research 1st semester 1st term and a really good scholarship
I believe Harry Potter literature, Women's Studies and Gender sexuality.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
