New York State September 11 Scholarship

This fund awards scholarships to rescue workers who are going to school to obtain their undergraduate nursing degrees. The applicant must be a member of a state or national professional EMT, firefighter or police officer association and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers & Firemen Scholarship

This award is available to Mississippi undergraduate students who are planning to enroll full time at a state-supported college or university in Mississippi. The student must be the spouse or dependent child of a fatally injured or totally disabled law officer or fireman.

AHEPA George Leber Scholarship

This award is for a full-time undergraduate student who is a member of, or the son/daughter of a member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), Daughters of Penelope, Sons of Pericles or Maids of Athena.

Illinois Grant Program for Dependents of Police, Fire, or Correctional Officers

This award is for students who are residents of Illinois and plan to attend a postsecondary institution in Illinois. The student must be the child or spouse of an Illinois police, fire, or correctional officer who was killed or at least 90 percent permanently disabled in the line of duty.

Tennessee Dependent Children Scholarship Program

This award is available for Tennessee resident students who are planning to attend a Tennessee public or private college or university. Students must be the dependent child of a Tennessee law enforcement officer, fireman, or an emergency medical service technician who has been killed or totally and permanently disabled due to an incident that occurred in the line of duty while employed in Tennessee.

Arkansas Law Enforcement Officers’ Dependents Scholarship Program

This award is available to Arkansas residents who are attending an Arkansas state-supported college or university. The student must be the dependent or the spouse of an Arkansas resident who was killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty while working in a law enforcement or public service position.

Georgia Electronic Life Safety and Systems Association Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Georgia high school seniors who have a father, mother or natural guardian who is a member of the police or fire department, or a full-time paid or volunteer member of the police department, located in Georgia AND is a full-time active employee, not on disability. Students must be 15 to 20 years old.

Edward T. and Mary A. Conroy Memorial & Jean. B. Cryor Memorial Scholarship Program

This award is available to Maryland students who are planning to enroll at a two-year or four-year Maryland college or university. The student must be a: dependent of a deceased or disabled veteran; disabled veteran; dependent of a victim of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks; veteran or dependent of a veteran who was declared POW/MIA in Vietnam; dependent of a deceased or disabled state/local public safety employee/volunteer; deceased or disabled state/local public safety employee/volunteer; …

NASA College Scholarship Fund

High school seniors or older students who are the dependents of current/retired NASA employees are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan to pursue a course of study in a science or engineering field that will lead to a recognized undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university in the United States.
