WHITE COLLAR DEFENSE DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP: 2020

The scholarship program is open to all African American and Hispanic undergraduate, and law school students as well as incoming college freshmen. The candidate must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidate must have a demonstrated financial need.

UCLA’s Distinguished Scholars Program and Achievement Fellowship

UCLA Law offers full-tuition scholarships based on merit, need and achievement in overcoming adversity. The UCLA Law Distinguished Scholars Program is a binding early-decision program providing full tuition for three years to exceptionally qualified students ready to commit to UCLA Law. The designation as a UCLA Law Distinguished Scholar will be the highest honor bestowed upon members of the incoming J.D. class.

Dean’s Scholarship

The Dean’s Scholarship provides awards ranging from $9,000 to $120,000 in tuition coverage. Selection is primarily based on academic achievement and nonacademic factors such as leadership, service, and life or work experience. We also seek accomplished individuals who will be fully engaged in the unique academic community at Penn Law. The number of Dean’s Scholarships that are awarded varies from year to year.

Lloyd Johnson Scholarship

Named after Lloyd M. Johnson Jr., the program helps law students meet basic needs such as tuition, books and fees. Fellows receive $10,000 a year for three years to help defray the cost of law school. Scholars receive a one-time award of $10,000 to assist with their first-year expenses. In the three years since the program was launched, MCCA has awarded more than 30 fellowships and more than 20 scholarships.

Tony Patiño Fellowship

University of Chicago Law offers several scholarships for JD students. The Tony Patiño Fellowship, set up by Francesca Turner, honors her son Antenor Patiño, Jr., a law student who passed away on December 26, 1973. James W. Stoudt Memorial Law School Scholarship

The PA Bar Foundation is the charitable arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The James W. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation honors one of the Pennsylvania Bar’s steadfast supporters – the late James (“Jim”) W. Stoudt. The Fund currently provides three, $3,000 scholarships. Of these, two of are specifically designated to support minority law students attending any one of the approved nine accredited law schools presently serving Pennsylvania.
