Minorities in STEM
For the Minorities in STEM scholarship, the applicant should include information about organizations they’ve been a part of and/or what they’re done in their community to support and promote minority leadership. The winner will be announced no later then May 1.
The Tuwanna Marie Minority Scholarship Award
Application and supporting documents must be postmarked by April 1 and mailed to 3300 Hamilton Mill Rd STE 102-184, Buford, GA 30519. Be sure to attach essay, and verification of ACT score or GPA. The winner will be contacted by phone or email early July, and will receive a $1000 to use toward educational costs.
Women’s Independence Scholarship Fund
The Women’s Independence Scholarship Fund is available for women who have left an abusive domestic situation. They are also pursuing an education that aims to help them to provide economic self-sufficiency for themselves and their children. The Scholarship Program was established in 1999.
Newcombe Scholarships for Students
There are four different scholarships. Newcombe Scholarships for Students with Disabilities?support completion of degrees by students with disabilities who need financial assistance at selected colleges and universities. During 2015-16, Newcombe Scholarships averaging $1,385 were awarded to 387 recipients at ten institutions.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
An FSEOG Grant is a type of needs-based federal aid but works differently from the Pell Grant. FSEOG funds issued from the government go to schools that take part in the program. No more FSEOG awards can be made for a year once the school uses all the funds. Click here to learn more and apply today!
