I love the community and the wide range of classes. It's a wonderful school and it's easy to see why so many of my family and friends have recommended it to me, and why I'll continue to recommend it as well. The advisors and professors are wonderful and make it a priority to work as closely as possible with their students.
I am happy that I chose Cowley. My instructors are very helpful and available when I need them. It is a great place to start an education, especially if one is still deciding what to do next. The community is small, which makes me feel very safe, so that I can focus on my education.

You will experience a lot in your years in college as you move toward becoming an adult. Each step along your journey will define every part of who you are. The woman that you are today will not be who you are years from now. Today you are a child, a student, and a friend; but years from now you will be a wife, a mother, and professional who still continue to seek excellence. You will fight for everything you have and will need to choose to rise above extraneous circumstances in everything that will define you. The years will teach you the value of school. While you are young you just take for granted that education is something some people get. When you are older you will understand that an education is something you must earn. Education will set a new standard for you and your family that you will create. These moments in your life will shape and define every aspect of your lifelong journey. Appreciate every opportunity to grow and seek to be nothing less than the best, because that is exactly what you deserve.
Cowley County Community College is a wonderful school with small classes and teachers who care about your success and know you by name.
CCCC is unique based on their willingness to do what they can to make your college experience enjoyable. From the advisors to every single intructor I have had, they are all very approachable and willing to do what they can to help you succeed. They also have instructors from all over the world, so class lectures tend to be very enlightening and entertaining.
This small school is perfect for almost any type of student. Students of all types are perfect canidates for this school. The school is located in a smaller town and is not for the type of student looking for a big city culture. The student to teacher ratio is also very small, so a student looking for large lecture halls would not enjoy this campus. Although some cultural and racial diversity exist, there aren't as many diverse students as what a larger school would offer. Students lookig for this enviroment wouldn't enjoy the campus.
Although I really like my school, the one flaw is that the people attending are still not open enough to accept defferent people. Even though it isn't like High School, it is somewhat similar. Some of the students aren't like this though, but sometimes social cliques find thier way into college regardless.
A wonderful array of students from all different walks of life that are all earniestly seeking a higher education, while making the most of there time at the college.
The academics range from easy to difficult. It depends on the major the area of study and the location. Cowley has three campuses, the main one being the location where students are housed and can interact in student activities. When it come to the academics, Cowley focuses on student success and attempts to ensure every student will be successful. That being said, even the more difficult classes are easy to pass since the instructors are available to assist students as well as Cowley's 24 hour tutoring services.
The most popular groups are the athletic teams, specifically the volleyball team. They have attended Nationals every year for the last four years. However the other group of students that are popular are the theater enthusiast. Cowley is known for their fine arts programs, and puts a large effort into providing quality shows, the best in the area. Students from bother groups support and encourage one another, proving that popularity isn't important, friendship is.
The small class size is what makes Cowley College such a wonderful place. It gives students a chance to ask questions and get more individualized help from instructors.
The stereotype of students is that the students are small town resident. This is very true since many of the students on campus are from the surrounding communities. However, Cowley pushes to promote the diversity of the students on campus as well as push away the stereotypes. The college focuses on the uniqueness and talents of each of the students, encouraging them to break stereotypes and make a difference in their community and in their future.
The worst thing about my school would have to be the location. I have to drive almost 2 hours round trip to get from where I live to the branch where my classes are held. But, for the tuition price of a comunnity college , I still save a lot of money--even with todays high gas prices--so it is worth the trip!
Community Colleges are great for people that are comfortable with new surroundings in the upcoming years. It is a great transition for peopl who are not quite ready for full 4 year school, but are willing to get out of the house without breaking the bank. They are the perfect way to adjust to the college life without putting a lot at risk, and transitioning from the High School to a College lifestyle.
