I am just a visitor but I loved it. There was so much on-campus activities going on and there were always people hanging out. I loved how much community involvement there was. I also loved seeing all the different ways to study in the library because they had white boards and little study booths and private study rooms. It is a great campus and the college that I intend to go to because it was amazing.
Kansas State University is the place to find yourself as well academically. The resources they have will help you find the person you want to become without being forced of choosing, but finding and seeing how it fits you. K-State always has the doors open when you need something including students who are already in, this is very important to feel accepted not only teachers but the students already there. This is why my opinion for this school is highly a 5 out 5 stars.
I think sometimes they can be more lenient with the dining. Campus food is available on weekends for reasonable time. The line for food get so long that it make it difficult to get there especially for kids that work. They are paying for food so they should be given food especially on weekends.
It is an amazing place to be. The family environment means everything to all students who go there. I love it at Kansas State University because of everything there. The agriculture family I am a part of makes everything at college so much better. College is something I love at K-State.

My education has awakened my enthusiasm for design. I strongly believe that good design can change the quality of life and am passionate about making a positive impact in cities, buildings, and for the individuals that experience them. My education has empowered me with the tools and understanding to make a difference. My college experience pushed me to the limits of my creative spirit, challenged my dedication, and sculpted a work ethic that will be valuable for the rest of my life. It has been more than a “valuable” experience, it has been absolutely imperative, giving my life a direction, passion, and enabling me to make a positive difference in this world.
My classmates were eager, hard-working, passionnate, kind, talented, creative, friendly, disciplined and K-State proud!
Kansas State University is a great school. The best thing it has to offer is its education. The professors care about their students and the courses offer a satisfying challenge that develop a good work ethic. The size of the school is ideal: not too big to the point where one would feel like just another number, but not too small where everyone knows everyone. The school is in a wonderful college town with lots of places to eat, movie theater, bowling alley, mall, and more. The sports teams at KSU are excellent and there is a lot of school pride. A lot of students spend most of their time at the gigantic Hale Library, perfect for studying and relaxing, or the Student Union, which includes restaurants like Panda Express and Taco Bell, a bowling alley, and even ATMs through a variety of banks (a feature that isn't always considered when choosing a college, but turns out to be extremely convenient). All in all, KSU is an exceptional place.
The likeability of classes vary from professors, to class size and subject. My least favorite classes are the general education courses. Of course, no one really enjoys general ed courses. My favorite class so far was the Introduction to Communications class. The professor was fun and so was the class. Unless you're taking a huge lecture class, professors will know your name. The library is one of the best resources K-State has to offer, so it's always filled with students,
Small town, with a sweet little community but still lots to do.
The most popular student activities include involvement with events put on by the Union, fundraisers, athletic events and events put on by Greek organizations. On the weekends, most people go to Aggieville, parties or other entertaining spots around Manhattan. But if you happen to be awake at 2 AM on a random Tuesday, you are most likely in the Library.
I would have to believe the best thing about KSU is the environment of studying with students from all parts of the world. Learning about another's culture or concepts of life opens many opportunities. As we all come together we open new windows of understanding from a broad spectrum of events. One person may experience or have a past experience that can be considered for informational venue to others. The meshing of extreme minds into one thought process.
First off I make sure that they know we have the best mascot in the U.S. After I have finished making that point, I don't hesitate to tell them that those on the K-state campus are like a second family to me. I came home for the summer break, and after being here only a week I was ready to go back. I missed the friendly and helpful atmosphere a lot more then I thought I would.
The Spanish Language Department prides itself on flunking students.
That depends on what the stereotype is. Overall, k-state does pride itself on it's community. Typical stereotypes for greeks, and jocks may be true, but i think any school can say the same. People in general are friendly.
The kind of person that should attend Kansas State University is one that is ready and willing to open their mind to new ideas and learning new things. I believe a K-state student should be confident in themselves, ready to learn, and willing to put forth effort in their studies. A K-state student does not have to know what they want to do in life because there are many options on campus. Students should be ready to have fun and be involved in a great campus.
My school is mainly known for academically-focused, hardworking students, faculty, and staff. Everyone strives to do and be their best at everything as well as strives to achieve their best self. There are many opportunities and resources to help students do so, if they put effort to go find them. I love this college and would recommend it to anyone!
Kansas State has a comfortable feeling around campus. It is not uncommon for people to go out of their way to help someone when they appear to need help. The students are incredibly loyal and 'live and die' for wearing and supporting purple.
That we're all aggies and that anyone who comes here gets a substandard or strictly ag-geared education.
How few jobs there were available in the area
We have a group of nice people in Kansas State University.
Some one who can'y stand a town with a country feel.
The most frustrating thing at my school is that we do not engage in many multicultural events. I am a minority on a predominantly white campus and I feel as if we should all team up together and start many events in which we all can enjoy!
Deciding to go to K-State was easy. I wanted to be in an environment where I could focus on my studies, make new friends, and enjoy life outside of school. K-State provides all three of these things. There is always places to go to study, and people to interact with if you need help in classes. Student organizations and student life provide an excellent source of student interaction, and are where I have met most of my close friends. Outside of school, plenty of things are available to bide your time and you can find something to do almost all of the time. Salina is a smaller town with not all of the amenities Manhattan has to offer, but it's so cozy and personal, you can create your own fun!
Students on our campus take big time pride in all of our sports here at K-State. We love football and basketball. The only sports we get charged to get in to watch are football and basketball but both are worth the money. Our student sections are right on the 50 yardline for football and right at half court for basketball. We're the only school in the big 12 that does that because we value our students here at K-State. When students are paying that much for tuition we might as well get good seats to the game, right? Other sports are equally as exciting but entry is free with a student I.D.
