I love KSU. There is a variety of people, which is so different than the high school I went to, and I like how open everyone is about it. The campus is beautiful. I like how there are many places on campus to go and study or do group projects with. There are many groups you can be apart of on campus.

I am currently a sophomore at KSU, and I love it. I joined greek life and pledged the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority; I love my house and the girls are great. Sporting seasons are fun because we often got a large group of people together to travel to the games. We also found many different fun places to eat in Aggieville. I am extremely thankful that I chose Kansas State as my college.

I absolutely love Kansas state university and all that it has to offer its students. There are plenty of extracurricular activities for all students to participate in. The class size is great once you finish your core classes. They get down to around 30 students in many specialized classes. I've only completed my first year, but seriously, I love K-State!

K-State has the perfect balance of small town and big city kindness with their honeys, how are you, and general helpfulness mixed with their sprawling campus, rang of opportunities, and variety of people. Any student can go to the rec center for free where you can work out, hang out with friends, and my personal favorite part: Zumba! The campus is absolutely gorgeous! When I first saw pictures I though the entrance building looked like part of a castle. The grounds have lots of well-kept trees and grass. What really grabbed me was their bakery science program; it is a very rare program with an amazing professor. When I asked to visit the department I was invited to come too lab! It was a lot of fun and everyone was very open and answered and questions I had and made me feel right at home. Every person I talked to in general was very very welcoming. Now to the thing that stressed me out the most about collage: Dorming. I wanted to look at every single dorm option. There were lots of different locations with many options. Each dorm had its own kind of culture. Some are very family oriented and will have entire halls go put together a bunch of tables to eat together in the cafeteria (both of the cafeterias looked very impressive). Every dorm has bunch of cute signs to tell you about what’s going on or random things for people to participate in like I sign with all the Myers Brigg personalities where people can put their names down so that you can see who you might bond well with or who is like you. The dorm I fell in love with was Smurthwaite. It is a smaller all girls house that required you to meet requirements to stay in like keep a good GPA, do community service, and stay involved in campus life. Personally, the moment I walked in a new these were my people. People that keep structure, hold good character as something important, and care about academics. And the cherry on top for me was that there was a full industrial kitchen that was available for use.

Before I started my freshman year of college at Kansas State, I got the opportunity to visit the campus a view times. I fell in love with Kansas State because it had a small campus but it had a lot of activities going on. With over 500 clubs and intramurals, a K-State student could never be bored. During my freshman year, I lived on campus in the residence halls. I really enjoyed living in the halls because I met some of my closest friends, I liked being close to my classes and I loved that the dining facility was only 5 minutes away. At the dining facility, there are a lot of options such as the grill, southwest, classics and many others. They also have Call Hall ice cream made by cows located on campus. There are also various fast food place restaurants found on and around campus. There is also a food and shopping center that’s called Aggieville. In Aggieville there are many shops such as Rally House, a K-State fan wear store, Threads, a store where you can make ANY t-shirt, ACME, a cute little shop with books and stickers, and many others. K-State is an AMAZING college and I can’t wait to go back for my sophomore year.

My overall opinion for K-state is that we treat each other like family and no matter what you can find the help and resources you need. I also, love the fact K-State isn’t so quick to kick you they try their best to help keep students on track. The campus is also, really nice and you can pretty much walk too all your classes.

My overall opinion of Kansas State University is fairly good. A lot of people are really into the sports scene, mainly football and basketball, which is alright considering we have great teams. K-State offers a variety of extracurricular activities and student organization that students can be involved with. One of my favorite parts is that they offer new movies every Friday and Saturday night. On Saturdays they add subtitles to include the students who are hearing impaired, which I find to be really cool. K-State also ranks #4 in the nation for Landscape Architecture, which is really awesome, I might be a little biased toward that fact. ;)

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I absolutely love the atmosphere. I never have felt unwelcome even while on visits before my future decision. I would recommend KSU to anyone that I'm friends with or that are considering. I love that it's also a very involved community on top of the great college involvement. Teachers are very helpful and pretty easy to access when I need something. I have never met someone on campus that was not helpful to me in some way or not friendly. I have made so many friends and I absolutely love my department already. Athletics is not everything, as there are plenty of other things to do at KSU, but it is so thrilling to go to games. There is always something to do in Manhattan and that part is what makes it feel like home outside of home.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Kansas State University provides a fantastic college experience for all students. You WILL find clubs that you enjoy being a part of, no matter what you're interests are. If you love bowling, you can bowl every day at the Student Union. If you love academics, you can join clubs or even frats and sororities that are dedicated to your area of study. There is campus housing that is dedicated to scholars who want to be surrounded by other academically-oriented students. There are campus apartments available that provide a nice middle-ground between the dorm life and living off campus. The best thing about Kansas State University, in my opinion, is that the professors really care. KSU loves to hire faculty that are dedicated to their students and invested in their success. Everyone always says that professors will treat you simply as a number, but I have never found this to be true as KSU. Almost all of my professors have literally studied their classes to learn their student's names, majors, and a few of their interests. They are more than willing to meet outside of class (even outside of office hours) in order to ensure their students have the best chance of succeeding. Our university is very focused on ignoring all of the frills and prestige. We simply care about finding our students the right job for them, and making sure that they get a return on their college investment. If you show any effort while at Kansas State, the multiple services that are aimed at helping students start successful and satisfying careers will help you land in a great spot career-wise. Our sports teams are fun to watch and competitive. Furthermore, the athletes actually make themselves available. While standing in line waiting for the biggest game of the regular season (KSU vs. KU), our star basketball player, Dean Wade, actually came outside of the stadium and handed out pizzas to the students who were waiting to get great seats. The games are always so much fun to watch, and will be a huge part of your college experience. Livability ranked Manhattan, Kansas, our college town, number one in it's top ten places to live. We have some of the most dedicated alumni and faculty in the country. Our students consistently rank as some of the happiest college students in the nation. If you want to go to a university with tons of options and experiences, where you don't face constant pressure to study, and instead are pushed to go out and participate in some of the fun things that Manhattan has to offer, and where you are almost guaranteed to get a solid job if you take advantage of some of the services available to you, then please, give Kansas State some consideration.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I absolutely love K-State. In fact, I love K-State so much that I decided to stay two more years to earn my Master of Arts in English. The community is fantastic. Our library is currently under renovations because of a fire we had in May 2018, but the university has done as much as they can to provide space for students to study comfortably and be happy. 10/10 would recommend
