It really is a great institution but has it's flaws. The math is incredibly difficult to understand, but the social life is great. Here's what I want to say about anybody that is thinking about going to Dixie state but thinks it's a waste of money. Education is a light; a light brought to mankind that most are still in the dark about. Most people today in America take for granted how good we have it here. I could talk about kids in Africa that are starving or have it bad, but there's many community's even today (i;e Compton California, Chicago Illinios) that suffer from poverty and wish they had a taste of the middle class. I want anyone who says education doesn't matter to try living off welfare, and live in poverty and then try to get an education. Depending on the profession and the person; college is for everyone! I try not to take the light of college for granted. As I prepare to escape the dark and go to college, I know the journey ahead will be tough. For each class I take and every GPA earn will be for myself, and I know it will all be because of my handwork. So I'll leave with this... for anyone for anyone that has been robbed of the light of learning, please don't stop trying! Every journey is hard but with dedication and the right state of mind, anything is possible!

Dixie State University has a beautiful campus and the people there are usually very friendly and nice. However, this is not a good school to choose if you're looking for a good education or you have difficulty meeting people and making new friends. The academics are below college-level; being in the classrooms is like being back in high school. The assignments aren't challenging and don't require a lot of effort or critical thinking. The professors are nice and flexible when it comes to homework and assignments, but some of them don't know what they're talking about or how to run their classes. You may walk away with some knew knowledge, but Dixie State's education is below average. Another aspect that the University could improve on is inclusivity. It's very difficult to make friends and meet new people if you don't enter the university with an established group of people or friends. The campus is broken up into groups and clubs that are very exclusive. If you're not a member of Student Body or the LDS church, you're often left out of activities and opportunities and ignored by your fellow students, faculty, and professors. Dixie State University is a community college at best that is only inviting and welcoming to people who are just like them. It is not an environment that fosters open-mindedness or inclusivity; it is a University that focuses on family values and Mormonism.

I attended Dixie State University from Jan 2012 to April 2015. The comradery I felt among the professors, staff, and students kept me in tune, joyful, and very pleased to go to class. I also worked in the Writing Center as well as a Teacher's Assistant for a Physics professor. It is 10 minutes from my home, so the commute is easy. The campus itself is beautiful and stunning. The classroom experience is always engaging and passionate. The assignments are challenging, which I particularly enjoy. I love to attend Dixie State University.

Dixie State University is a great college so far if you need help in writing or math there's always a spot for it. There are tons of activities if you want to get out there and be social. People are very friendly and very chill. Teachers are friendly, and if you both work it out, they will be nice enough to help you or point you to a direction to get help in whatever you need.

I can honestly say that I love it! There are so many activities for students, and there is always someone to talk to and become friends with! Everyone is so engaged in school, activities, and of course, football games and other sports events! The people are all so friendly. Dixie State truly is like one big family. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else and i’m so glad I picked Dixie as the school for me!

I LOVE Dixie State, I love the size of the campus and amount of students. Most of my professors have been great and usually always remembered my name. The only flaw is the heat, you sweat so much just walking the campus. Other than that, Dixie is wonderful, and since it’s in an LDS community, it’s pretty safe, modest, and clean.

I've been here a year and the best thing about Dixie is how close it is to the outdoors. Being art major I believe there is an awesome community we've built for ourselves and I've made my best friends there. In art its easier to talk to people because it is most of the time more lax but in all of my general classes or at least most of them people don't really talk to each other, which can be hard to deal with. Despite some of its flaws it is growing super fast and there is no place I would rather be.

I love Dixie State University. There is always something going on. They have coed sports that anyone can sign up for all year round and it includes almost every sport. Every Wednesday night they have a new activity on campus and its free to all students. They are very active and try to keep students involved.

To be quite honest with you, I am not certain what Dixie State University will be like. Although I am enrolled, I have never attended any classes here at DSU. I am actually set out to begin classes tomorrow for the summer semester. I am hopefully the professors are caring and my peers will be kind. From orientation, I am already aware of the powerful school spirit, competitive sports teams, and ambitious clubs that Dixie State University has to offer. I can't wait to see what this school has in store for me.
