ECTC has been a great college to attend, a more positive experience compared to my previous community college. All the staff, instructors, and counselors are incredibly friendly, helpful, and engaging whenever I ask for their assistance. The courses ECTC offers have been more engaging, especially the classes that provide a more hands-on learning experience. The work-study program ECTC offers have been a positive experience as well since it provides both an income and experience for my resume. I would highly recommend ECTC to anyone who is looking for a college that helps students learn and prepare for technology-based jobs.
ECTC is a great college because it is affordable and convenient for people of any age who want to get their degree. Transferring from the college to another college/university is fairly easy, which is great if you are planning on earning your associate's degree and then a bachelor's. I am really glad I chose ECTC!
Awesome Community College to get the first part down before you go to a University. Great because they are connected with WKU.
ECTC is a great college to attend, if you are not concerned with the "college experience" that includes dorm life and lots of student interaction on campus. I have socialized with only a few of my fellow students, and there is no on campus housing. Students must commute. Most professors are very easy to contact, and they are very willing to help their students with questions. I like that about ECTC. Class sizes are relatively small, allowing the instructor to be able to answer most questions.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would have to tell myself, "Just do it!" I look back now and wish I had taken the bull by the horns. I have a daughter in college now and tell her everyday keep going, don't give up when you have a bad grade on a test, don't give up because you have had a bad day. Keep going for your dreams. I wish I could have listened to my parents! I know now how "young and dumb" I really was. I thought I knew I could stay at home and attend the small college, graduate and make a career. I was undecided as to what I really wanted to do. I changed majors, I moved to a big city with a friend, attended a small technical college, got myself a certificate and off in the world I went. I was not satisified until now at the age of 44 when I realized that I should have been more focused. They tried to tell me. Mothers know best as the saying goes and she did and here I am going back to college to be a nurse she tried to tell me to be.
I know when I have fulfilled the current online classes needed for my nursing degree, I will have to move to a different college closer to home. Bluegrass Tech is located in Ellizabethtown which is over 50 miles from my home. I have Campbellsville University 10 minutes from my house, but it is very expensive and I know I will have to take out loans in order to complete my college education.
The college I chose is closely located to where I live.
They are focus and ready to learn all the time
The education cost is reasonable, and the teachers are very helpful.
Any kind of person should attend this school. Those who want a 4 or 6 year degree can obtain their associates degree at ECC then either finish up at a university or take advantage of the classes some universities offer on-campus in Elizabethtown, or students only wanting their associates should go to ECC. Students right out of high school should go here, people that haven't been in school for 20 years should go here, single mothers/fathers should go here, anyone, any race, creed, and color should attend Elizabethtown Community College.
My school is great because I'm given the freedom to take multiple classes to help find what I like best, all while staying at home so I don't go broke in the process.
I wish I had known more about my teachers. There should be an online site to go to in order to see how other students rate ECTC teachers. There are a few teachers I would rather have not had, and I wish I could have done some kind of check on them before signing up for their class.
If a student loves big crowds and over sized classes ECTC would not be for them. The class sizes range from about 20 to 35 students and the average class size would probably be about 30 students. If a student also wants to party hard they probably don't want to come to ECTC either. There are a few parties but not anything like a 4-year college.
I usually talk about how much I love spending time in ECTCS. How much help the college provide us with the Student Support Services, Math Lab, Library, and the Computer Lab. Also which professors are the favorites and which aren't. I recommend the best teachers I had for the semesters.
That if you need to reset your password or username for there blackboard, you cannot just call them, you have to go to the front office and recieve the information.
