I am on the softball team, and I really love Friends University. Being far away from home can be extremely difficult, especially because you are leaving your friends and family. At Friends within the first week I was super comfortable, and had made friends. The classes are small so you have one-on-one time with your professors and they also have a resource center to help if you are struggling with classes. On campus living is awesome. there are 4 different places to live. Green hall is for the incoming Freshman, and it super nice. Then you have upper classman living there are 3 places to live and they are Village, Smith ,and Glenn. Being a Friends Falcon has been asweome and I cannot wait to go back.
Love the small classroom size and all the opportunities to take different courses based on what way I like to go, online, on campus, etc. Also have a great adult program that helps me finish sooner! They also make it easy to make payments and really allow me to not be overwhelmed with finances.
It is a very small school, and allows students and professors to get to know each other inside and out of the classroom. It has a very beautiful campus, very good food, and has many academics on hold for anyone interested in that activity. It is very clean, and feels like a place you can call home.
Friends university is a caring community, they encourage life long learning, and continuously motivate students. The students look out for each other and help if needed. The on campus housing is great and it is not far of a walk to any on campus building.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Friends University is 55%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Find something you're passionate about and find a school that allows you study that either directly or indirectly. Finding this first will help students to better fit in to thier school and make new lifelong friends.
Friends University, a private Christian university, offers a vast array of classes one would not expect from this Quaker school. With amazing professors who truely enjoy their career and administrators that empathize with students, Friends University has instated an 'Open Door' policy that allows student to speak with professors any time during office hours. Not only do the professors love what they do, they love helping students.
Friends University is the first university to offer my major- Zoo Science. Currently, Friends University is still one of only a handful of universities in the nation that offer this Zoo Science major. Having this specialized major allows me a step up over the increasingly competative job market, and every bit helps.
A great emphasis on community and supporting the arts.
It is a very nice, smaller campus, with smaller class sizes.
Simple and Beautiful
There is a major divide between the atheists/scientists in the zoo science program and the Christians in campus ministries. Despite being a Christian, I often feel alienated by our campus ministries group. Because of this, many of the students seem out of touch with a large section of the population.
Anyone
I don't really think I can answer that question, I can't think of a single person that wouldn't be welcomed at my school due to the strong Friendly Christians community here which teaches us to love and not to condem.
Really Friends University is a very nice school. But i would have really liked to know that school is very important. that anyone should take every class important because it reflects on the next school that a person attends. Grades are the most important thing. I went through alot before coming to Friends University. Friends took me in and is doing everything in their power to fullfill my dreams. School is a full time job and anyone that is given the chance to attend a college they should take it with everything and do the best.
Music and sports are well funded, but the art department is small, delapidated and unaccomodating for exploring art in all of its many forms. Supplies were low, professors were mostly adjunct and underpaid and not available when students need them.
My classmates are very helpful and kind.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
