Marshalltown Community College is a great place to meet people. Small classes are typical and teachers are very hands-on with their teaching methods. You will get to know everyone well in your classes and enjoy some good laughs and friendly conversations with everyone. For it being a smaller community college, I was very much glad to have been a part of MCC's community.
I enjoy going here. The class sizes are small so you really get to know your professor and classmates, This school is also very diverse which is a trait I really like about this school. There isn't much activities to do here though which is the only bad part. I am glad i choose this school because I feel welcomed and accepted here.
Marshalltown CC is a great college to attend. It is located in a nice sized town, not too big nor not too small, with a great sense of community. Marshalltown CC is affordable and the teachers are always willing to help. They do a great job at trying to help you be able to transfer on or if not wanting to transfer, achieve the technical degree you wish. The Trio program is great as well.
The small class sizes and student to faculty ratio set students up for success. MCC is perfect for those needing a transition between high school and a large university. MCC offers many transfer opportunities with some of Iowa´s regent universities like Iowa State. It is a great college, and I could not imagine myself going anywhere but there.

If I could travel back to visit my high school self, I think the first thing I would do would be to smack myself in the head and tell myself to stop being so lazy! Everything that I am struggling with now could be easily resolved if only I had gotten off of that couch or off the phone and done something productive for my future. I would tell myself to research colleges and choose one that excites me! Instead of what I actually did, which was to ask my friends and parents what to do, which then I ended up choosing one that they wanted for me, rather than one I wanted myself. I would stand up for myself and research scholarships so that I could afford a college of my choosing, and not regret a wasted year of my life. Not to mention the wasted money and personal turmoil I put myself through this year. Thanks to my high school self, I am now regrettably paying for not smacking myself earlier, literally.
I wish there were more students my age. Though I enjoy the diversity, it can be difficult to find a new friends when the only people you see everyday are 10 years older than you with full time careers. It can be challenging to relate to someone that is at a different point in their lives than you are.
At my college, students come from every aspect of life (fresh out of high school, laid off from work, or just going back to school), therefore my classmates differ greatly in age, race, ethnicity, class and educational background--leaving for some interesting points of views during class discussion.
The best thing about my school is the caring teachers and facility.
Any type of person should attent school to better themselves. It betters your life and your current or future families lives.
Most frustrating thing is the cost of everything and the cost of gas to get back and forth to college.
