McMurry University is nothing but a welcoming school, but it tends to have it's down falls but the schools downfalls weren't what drew me to McMurry, It was the connection with the professors and the student body that kept me positive about school.
McMurry has a very safe, quiet, and chill atmosphere. Once you know the right places to look at, you become actively involved and interested with the events around. In my department, I don't feel that much stress over grades, as much as I stress over other things. People are genuinely interested in making you part of their community and they give very positive feedback to your hardwork and involvement.
Mcmurry University is a decent school, but it cost too much to attend the school. Mcmurry is a very expensive school and the amount of money you pay is not worth what they give you. People there are great, some of the professors are awesome and then you have others that care a lot less than others. Sports there are not the best, you play some of the best Division 3 competition. Playing you do not receive as many perks as other schools, you have to buy all you equipment except pads and a helmet. Classes are awesome most are pretty small so you get some of the best treatment you can ask for. Dorm areas are okay, everything is kind of old though. Cafeteria food is okay, some nights it is on point then others not so much.
Mcmurry University is a small university. Taking that into consideration, the university promotes community and social interaction among students. The classroom sizes are small enough making accessibility to professors simply and advantageous. Though the dormitories are in much need of improvement, friendships are built due to well organized paring of roommates.

I would tell myself to visit the college and meet people, talk to future teammates, and classmates before msking the decision. I need to mke sure I have a plan and a back-up plan before going to colege unprepared. I would tell myelf to be careful of the people I talked to and meet because not everyne can be trusted and not everyone can be your true friend. I should have went to a school that I could pay for in scholarship money and not student loans. I would tell myself to not get behind on schoolwork because summer school is hard to do when you are out-of-state and no one will help you, so you have to take care of yourself. Lst thing I would tell myself is, do nit go to McMurry University becaue it eill be the worst experience of your life.
My school is a private university. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. All of my professors have alot of extra time to help when I need it.
I brag that I am not just a huge number in a big school but an actual person where all the teachers remember my name.
At the moment the only thing is the talk of higher tutuion prices due to extreme budget cuts. The fact that a certian class may be four hours long, but you get only one credit for the class.
I wish I had known more about the campus itself. I had never visited before, so moving was a fun experience, and I really mean that! However, had I visited, the move would have been a little smoother. I also wish I could have known how amazing our campus? Student Activities staff is! These people are totally a part of the student life on this campus and reach out to everyone they encounter.
Students at McMurry are incredibly diverse.
McMurry is best known for class sizes, as well as the strength of the academic programs. There are nationally recognized professors of physics, business, and history. The professors are very student centered. Class sizes are between 2-45 meaning there is a strong relationship with these renowned professors.
The small town atmosphere gives McMurry a more close nit, family feel to campus life. Unlike the other two big campuses in town McMurry is small and has more oprotunities to have one on one with the students to the teachers. And with the campus spread out it is easy to not only get to classes you may have back to back, but it is much easier to find them as you are an incoming freshmen or transfer.
The things that i love the most about McM is that it is just the right size, i wasnt looking for a huge school but one that was big enough to meet cool people. I love the professors are there to help the students in the best way that they know how, i just really love it here.
The campus living situations including dorms and food. Neither are good and are way overpriced.
The kind of person that should attend this school should be serious about their education, and want a college experience in a small private way.
The kind of person who should not attend McMurry University is the kind of person who does not want to stand out in the crowd or be noticed, because we are such a small universtity that everybody knows everybody. Everyone also has to take some responsiblity on campus it seems. So if somone just wants to go to school and never be noticed, McMurry would not be the choice for them.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible.
