Great school! I love the month long classes that allow me to focus on one class at a time.
[My Major was: "General Studies", that is not available in the drop down menu above - nor is "Global Studies"] Had an "academic advisor" who left a lot to desire in the realm of communicating. I chose the online program of "General Studies" where one has to choose from a list from it of two Concentrations however they do not let you know that not ALL of these Concentrations are available online for this online program. I chose Natural Science and Environmental Studies, I happen to go to an Open House at the campus about FOUR MONTHS after I paid and enrolled to inadvertently be informed - and not from my "academic advisor" that these Concentrations for this online program where not available online(?) - they need to inform prospective students of this on the website, plus of course have ones "academic advisor" inform us of this in the beginning. There were some other communication problems with this "academic advisor" as well. Anyway I chose two alternative Concentrations: Global Studies and Sociology, however the first of the two strayed into areas that I never had any interest in that being business and economics. So I ended up just completing six classes there and then withdrawing, I immediately enrolled into another accredited online non-profit college with the Major of Social Science and Concentration of Environmental Studies. Also some classes can take quite a bit of time to get your final grade to you even if there are like only 10 students in the class(?)
I am really enjoying the school and helpful staff.
I have had a good experience at National. It is pricey and the options for funding are not the best. They really do not offer many options for students that have degrees and have been denied private loans. The class size is good though and they do offer accelerated programs.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for National University is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself many things. The most important thing I would try to encourage myself to do is to take a full class schedule as a senior. Because I had enough credits I was not required to take a full class schedule. I realize now that I could have received more education free rather than having to pay for courses now.
My classmates overall were quite committed, passionate, and helpful. I made some of my life's best friendships at the University of Oregon.
My undergrad work was completed at a 4-year university. My grad work was and will be completed at National University. I chose National University because of the online learning program, accelerated monthly classes, and the flexibility it allowed me as a working mother of four children. I was able to go back to school to further my education and career as a Special Education teacher as well as enjoy my family and all of my children's various activities and sporting events.
I mostly take classes online and I've found that the professors sometimes don't go through the material on the course website and make sure it is all up to date. Sometimes the information and website links are outdated.
National is a place that allows me to continue my educational career full time while I begin building my career ladder.
That each class was so expensive and that there are scheduled times for finals, though they are online courses.
The intense learning
It's one class a month, so it's very fast paced. And super expensive!!
People who want to have the "college" experience with campus clubs and everything.
National University graduates the most California Certified Techers in the state. National also provides flexible programs that allow unique populations - military, full-time working professionals, etc - to complete undergraduate and graduate-level studies.
The best thing about the school is the one class per month format. It ends up being the same work load as going to school full time at a traditional college or university, but you only have to concentrate on one subject at a time. I feel that I am able to absorb more of the information that is being taught.
no complaints
I love this school, the classes are manageable and quick, especially for those of us that work full-time jobs. I also really like the format of the classes, one class per month, which makes it easy to study well and really focus on what you need to know for your field of study. The professors are all very accessible and the counselors make it easy for you by signing you up for the classes you need without hassle. I love NU!
if there are any I sure do not know of them

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
51% of students attending National University receive some sort of financial aid. 46% were awarded federal grants. While 26% received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
