Good school with good NCLEX results. If you're looking for a school that is reasonably priced this is NOT that school. The tuition per credit hour is twice as high as the University. If you\'re not seventh day Adventist the school may be a little much for you. There are multiple times of prayer and the campus is shut down on Thursdays for church. Also, students are required to take 2 seventh day Adventist classes which add thousands of dollars to the tuition.
Union is one of those schools that makes you feel welcome as soon as you step foot on campus. The teachers and staff are there to mske sure you, as a student, will thrive and be prepared for life after college. The nursing program at Union is stellar and lots of students attend for this program. I am thrilled at the prospect of potentially attending this college and have had the priviledge of visiting on multiple occasions.
My experience at Union College has been a blessing. I have struggled financially because I do not qualify for any loans and with my class schedule I can only work on-campus. Union College is a small but very spiritual campus with good coffee shops for study time.
My overall opinion of Union College is that it is a great place to attend school. The small student body allows for close connections with friends and teachers and makes the school feel like family. Union offers a variety of degrees and programs and emphasizing learning as the ultimate goal.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Union College-Lincoln is 63%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would find someway to convince myself to get proper habits in place such as sleep, eating right, exercise. Only now am I seeing how important they are and trying to form these kinds of habits in a busy college environment is really difficult. I'd also teach myself to be able to say, "no." Especially in the first semester of college, being busy isn't always a good thing. I wish I'd learned to balance everything in my life to keep myself healthy and destressed and how to prevent becoming overwhelmed by everything.
Union has a great nursing program. They also are very involved with the community and do a lot of volunteer work. They science department also has a 99% rate of their students getting into medical school. Union also has a program called IRR (International Refuge and Relief). This basically is a degree that prepares students as paramedics and prepares them to act during natural or any kind of disasters. A lot of IRR graduates go onto medical school. Union is a Seventh Day Adventist affiliated college, but anybody is allowed to attend.
They know where they are going and not afraid to try. They are willing to help out and lend notes. Classmates are helpful.
The faculty and staff is very friendly and accessible to students and their needs.
The fact tha you have to get worship cradits the fact that they control your religion
How pretty the campus is and how friendly all the faculty and students are. It's not like the traditional private college or university, where everyone is stuck up. The people here at Union College want to get to know you, they are friendly, and they love God. The school also takes great pride in all their academic programs. We have some of the top rated programs for nursing, education, and science.
not enough to do in your spare time
I wish I would have known more about the financial information. They gave you some information, but not enough to prepare yourself. Obviously college is going to be expensive, but knowing what your options are is a nice thing to have. You are going to want to really question them and get in depth answers. During freshman orientation week, make sure to ask a lot of questions, even if you think they are dumb because someone else may have the same questions.
The kind of person that should attend this school is someone that likes small, family like environments and who has at least somewhat of a friendship with God or is not opposed to hearing about Him.
Extremely friendly and welcoming to any new students, including those who are unsure of their college plans.
My school is unique in that they have many religious services for me to choose from.
It is fairly easy to get the classes you want and the professors are so caring to each student.
Someone who is concerned with receiving a good academic education, or encountering open minds.
