PLEASE PLEASE listen to the people who tell you NOT to go here. it is TRULY the most boring school in the ENTIRE COUNTRY. no amount of scholarship money I got was worth coming here for. LISTEN TO ME. there’s NOTHING TO DO IN NEBRASKA. and the people are so WEIRD. like they’re either TOO crazy and go wild on weekends or TOO calm and just study all the time. ph and you can be super extroverted and struggle making friends. anyways. force you to talk about deep things with people who don’t care

To begin with I am the parent of the student this review is about: There is no safety on campus. Untrained, uneducated employees act as security, intimidate students, and overstep their authority. My daughter was raped in her first 10 days. Nothing was done except offer counseling. Omaha Police not called. We had to do that when our daughter got up the courage to tell us. Due to daughter looking Hispanic, which she is not, she was discriminated against by Creighton. e.g. she was the only one searched in a room of students and dragged down to the security office. Later they held a kangaroo court to discipline her for being in the presence of drugs and alcohol. Anyone walking into a residence at Creighton is in the presence of drugs/alcohol. Every 3rd or 4th room has drugs and/or alcohol in it. I recorded our daughter's kangaroo court session which, as her parent, I was allowed to attend but not allowed to speak or I would be ejected. A student is forbidden to have a lawyer but Creighton had their lawyer present! Creighton said our daughter "was not contrite enough". FOR WHAT? She did no wrong. FYI. Contrary to what Creighton advertises, they are not a private university. They do accept many DoD grants making them non private. I believe there is a way for users to message me if they would like a copy of the recording of the hearing. I hope this helps prospective students in their search for an appropriate university.

Creighton is a wonderful and interesting school. The vibe and culture at Creighton is unlike any other school I visited or have been to since. You truly have to come up and visit to understand the mix of academic rigor, party atmosphere, and cult-like groupies. I mean all of this in only the most positive way, of course. So, come down and visit our quirky school. Roll Jays!

Stepping onto foreign soil is never an effortless task, especially when one has no connections besides that of a wi-fi network. Fortunately, the once foreign land of Creighton University, welcomed me into a family larger than life, or as we like to call it... The Nest. Everyone on campus can be seen wearing a warm smile that invites conversation. Moving into the classroom, the academic opportunities are no short of infinite. Professors insight discussions that are still held well after the hour and fifteen minute lecture has ended. The rapport between students and faculty members cannot be beat. Creighton University truly succeeds in making the nest our home.

Creighton has the perfect size campus. You are constantly running into friends in between classes or on your way out on the weekend. Creighton athletics are amazing, and going to games is one of the best ways to have fun on campus. Plus, we are a wet campus so alcohol is allowed at events and in dorms, if you're over 21 of course. Omaha is a great place to go to school. Campus is right by the Old Market, and within driving distance to malls, restaurants, Rosenblatt stadium, the Qwest Center which has athletic events and major concerts, and the SlowDown, Saddle Creek Records new bar/concert venue. The underground music scene is amazing here if you know where to look!

When I talk to my friends about my experience at Creighton University, I always let them know what amazing opportunities I have had. In my second living community, we spent time in service to the larger Omaha community. Through these experiences, I believe that Creighton has allowed me to grow in unique ways to grow into a fuller and more complete person.

You have to watch the financial aid office. If you think you are not getting what you should be getting for aid then go in and talk to them. There are some subjects like history where it is very difficult to get them to accept the credits.

Creighton University is not just about using our careers to help people, we are taught to help others through service projects. We help many people in our community as well outside of the community.
