10 Students rated West Virginia State University
It's a growing university. But there's not a lot of different people here. It's mostly the same groups and types of people. The university needs better events and less stringent rules.
A great place to learn surrounded by excellent environment and opportunities
Great University. I love it because it’s not huge, it’s small and welcoming, and if you need something from a specific teacher you’ll get it because they aren’t overwhelmed with a crazy amount of students. Only thing that could be better is the staff that works in the registrars office, they are quite rude most of the time.
It's a good school with a lot of history and a fun place to be! Overall I have to say the teachers are nice, staff is helpful and the campus is beautiful. Everyone is encouraged to partake in college activities. Sometimes I will just sit on campus because with all the trees it is very peaceful.

Several thoughts enter the mind, while thinking of my senior year. I felt I was not ready attend college and would certainly fail most, if not all, of my classes. Two items sustained my attention during that year, that invovled college. The first, was wether I wanted to attend college and the cost college.
With the diverse experience I have obatined attending West Virginia State University, I would explain to myself that college is in fact easier than high school. In high school you worry about your social status and finding a significant other. In college , the professor does not judge you as many high school teachers do. They judge fair and will not fail you; if they see you are trying your best and turn in your work on time. Also, in high school you have abundant help applying for finical aid; you have teachers that can and will help you with scholarships, essays, applications and finding the right school.
After the college experience I obtained, I would be more than capable of explaining and persuading myself to attend college immediately after high school. After all, obatining a earlier start on changing the world would only render many benefits.
My school's campus isn't too big and this is good because you relate to instructers on a more personal level, giving one more opportunities on getting recomendations for scholarships and other imortant resources needed to get into other schools.
I wish I would have known how much off campus work the Education program involved so I could have prepared myself better.
It's entirely online. That makes it difficult to see people while attending classes unless you are using a webcam for a class.
any kind of person it doesnt matter
Any person who likes a lot of action, any person who likes big campuses, who likes big college parties, or who prefer co-ed dorms should not attend this school.
Urban with multiple diversity umong the student body and professors.
The classroom is usually diverse and have several different things to offer. I would recommend someone who is starting college to attend this university.
Accepting everyone who applies.
I brag about how it is for military families. The people are understanding and nice.
I believe the best thing about West Virginia State University is that it offers evening classes in almost every field of study, allowing even people who work or have children a chance to obtain their degree. The flexibility of the different class time offered is a major plus for University.
Not enough stundent parking, also when it comes to get your books for the new semester it is not organize.
