Fox Valley Technical College is in my opinion a great college, the tuition cost is low compared to other colleges, the classes all have a wide range of meeting times and most are even offered online, and at least in my program most of my professors are adjuncts, which means they are veterans in their respective fields. It helps me strive to do better knowing that the lessons I’m learning come straight from people working the jobs I dream to have.
It's a great environment where everyone is friendly. It's also a college where there are over 10 foreign language classes, the tuition is low, and a place that brings positive vibes.
I am grateful to be going to this Technical college. The instructors have been very helpful and patient with my learning pace.
Fox Valley Tech is a great place to be. For starters, on the financial side, it is much less than a 4 year college. The instructors are always available and willing to help. Just shoot them an email or swing by their office, and they are always welcoming. There are plenty of activities put on by the school that are family friendly. Everyone is always so helpful. I am proud to be a non-traditional student at Fox Valley Tech.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Fox Valley Technical College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would tell my high school senior self not to procrastinate, but work hard and be ready before the deadline. Don't spend all your money on worthless things that is only good for the moment. Save it for your books and other class materials. Also to build good studying habits and manage time wisely. I would also say " don't exercise your freedom too much", but trust your gut when it says " go home and call it a night". This is what I would tell my high school senior self to prep for.
Fox Valley Tech is a very diverse school, the teachers are helpful, knowledgable and have worked in the fields they are teaching us about.
The worst thing would be the parking, but that doesn't really interfere with my eduation!
The most frustrating thing about FVTC is finding my way around campus!
The programs a student can chose a career from, are more diversre than the other campuses I have attended. I had the ability to get into an Individualized Technical Degree Program, which is a perfect fit for my future goals. The staff is great, and have a laid back kind of teching style, that makes students more apt to ask questions if they need to. The enrollment staff, do an awsome job each semester, even though they are swamped by the number of students that enroll. I graduate in 2011, and will continue to recommend this college.
How to manage my time better. Its very difficult to be a fulltime student with work and projects and tons of homework to do. I manage but its definetly not easy.
I do not know if it is unique, but I do like the fact that my school has an accelerated program for early childhood. Again as an older student with a family, the program was easy to fit into my work and family schedule.
How much they care for you as a student.
My classmates in the Diesel program area great bunch of guys.
I am extraordinarly pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, particularly in the admissions office and those who assess transfer credits.
This school especially Oshkosh Riverside Campus makes you feel at home. the people are helpfful. They are caring. The school is open long hours to make sure that if you need any help, someone is always there to help. There are several places that you can study or just chill out. At this school, you don't ever have to be at home if you don't want to. The Oshkosh Student Board, the teachers, and most all staff are very helpful with any problems you have. I almost thought about working here because it is so nice here.
The academics at the school are a challenge and teach you more than you would expect. The school is getting you ready for the work force and for life. It will challenge you in many ways. I love the fact that you can either be in class, online, or doing both, It is a great option for people who are working.
There are so many it is hard to say. To be honest with you... people are working hard in all the groups because all groups help the school itself or goes out into the community to help out there.
I don't really see a stereotype of students. There is a wide variety of everyone and everything at the school We are all there to get an education and learn what we can as much as we can.
It's not that any person should not attend this school. However, being one year out of high school, I would advise freshmen to attend a "normal" university if they want to be with students their age. I don't have much opportunity to meet younger friends since so many people have lost jobs and are retraining to get back into the job market. While I am satisifed with the school itself, I may have rethought my decision had I known what I know now.
