I loved Metropolitan State University. I wanted to pursue a Master's of Social Work degree after I obtained my BSW, but at that time, they did not offer one. The professors were great, available, and very knowledgeable. The staff was diverse and from different cultural backgrounds. The class size was just the right size. The campus was close and easy to navigate around with an underground tunnel, which was great for winter. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.
Metropolitan State University is truly a university that you get out what you put in.
A great School!! I have only been to the school a couple of times during my Junior and Senior year in high school, and I just feel in love! Although there is no on campus living, something I really wanted while going to school, I believe that you will have a great experience while attending Metropolitan State University.
It's strictly an off-campus living college. As being a non-traditional student, I appreciate the fact that there tends to be a lot of other non-traditional students. There are several locations across the metro in which one can have classes. That can be nice if you live near one or another, but not if you live far from one of the campuses. The professors are overall descent, they will get to know your name, but won't involve themselves with you unless you engage them. Overall, it's not a descent university for people that want to be around other non-traditional students and prefer more night class availability.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Metropolitan State University is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Save as much money as possible to put towards things like books, you don't need the pretty folders or matching dishes. You want to get by with as little debt as possible so you are not stuck in with it forever. It is ok to be yourself, in high school you may not have experience peer preasure but if you get into the wrong group of friends in college they could lead you on a path you don't want to go on. It is ok if you don't go out drinking, if you feel it is best to stay home with a movie or to study then do it. They are not your firends if they think that is lame and try to guilt you into doing something they don't want you to do. It will only hurt you in the end, they don't care about what is best for you. It is ok to be you, and it will take time to figure out who that you is, but don't let you be a product of someone else.
The flexible schedules they offer is a great thing for me becuase I have to work on top of going to school. I also like that they hold classes in 3+ locations. That also makes for flexible options in the scheduling.
Theres only one food place in our school and its terrible.
The amount of night classes offered in the program that i am in.
I wish that I knew exactly what degree to go towards before I started at Metro State. Then I would have avoided taking all of the extra classes. I went to another school for a year before this one. It was very much like high school with small groups of people hanging out and going to parties. In my eyes, this isn?t an accurate reflection of the real world. If I had known there was a school like Metro State, I wouldn't have spent that first year at that other school or been so hesitant to go back.
Someone that is working and going to school and needs the flexibilty with day and evening courses. It is a nice school for both traditional and nontraditional students with a wide reange of courses.
Usually have 1 class a day then have a week off before the next meeting.
My school is well designed and well accomodating but not very well made for social interaction.
Finding the time to go and talk to someone in person without having to take a full day off of work because when I call no one is able to answer my questions because it is over the phone and yoiu have to go in.
So far I have had mixed feelings from my classmates. Some of them are only going to school because their parent's are making them. with that said, for the most part I have had pretty good luck with classmates. Most of them are willing to learn and apply themselves so that makes for a positive learning environment for all of us.
Very decent price for tuition.
You should not attend Metropolitan State University if you are looking for a large campus university.
