My experience at york tech was great, the professors were easily accessible during office hours, and my classmates weren't disruptive during class. They handled remote learning well during covid by providing remote lectures and online classes, with the professors being great at communicating requirements and replying to questions.
I really love my school but I do wish that they would upgrade some of the older buildings. A big con for me is that you can only miss 2 classes or you7 can fail a class without a viable excuse. I feel like if I am doing the work and passing tests then I should be able to pass the class. A pro will be that they offer a wide variety of tutoring.
An ethnically and intellectually diverse campus. Kept up and groomed extremely well. The administrators not only go above and beyond with their duties, but also have their own vibrant personalities, not afraid to be themselves whilst completing their duties. They provide students with an array of opportunities to develop their career future and themselves as people. York Technical College is significant a staple within our community
York Tech has helped me grow as a student significantly. Unlike high school, I enjoy attending York tech. The information is clear and easy to understand, I have maintained a 3.9 GPA the last 3 semesters I have been enrolled there. In addition, the instructors are super helpful and care about each person being successful in their class.

Knowing what I know now, I would tell myself to manage my time wisely. Time manage in college is very important and is something you really need to get use to. I would also tell myself that though the setting of college is more layed back, you still dont need to procrastinate on your assignments. The quicker you get your work done the easier and less stressful it is on you. Assignment deadlines come quicker than you think. With transitioning I would tell myself to become a little more social with other people. Getting to know and conversing with others can make the transition easier.
The classmates at York Technical College had a don't care attitude and I felt that they were there just to be there.
York Technical is a small, community-focused, technical campus with a wide variety of curriculum topics from which to choose.
A place for high school graduates to go when they are not ready for a university or a place for students to go and get the feel of what college life can be about before transferring to a university.
It's a community school so theres no dorms but its still socially active
The best thing about my school is the instructors. We have wonderful instructors. They actually care about whether I succeed or not. They are very supportive. In my opinion, they are the best thing about York Technical College!!!
Any students is encouraged to attend. There are many different categories of students, from middle aged students going back to school to learn a new trade to college age students looking to transfer. There are many opportunities for all types of students.
The most frustrating thing about ny school is the lack of support the marketing department shows the orginizations.
The worst thing about my school is that there is not many student activities, and no student sports.
The kind of person who should not attend this school is someone who is not focused or driven with a desire to succeed in his/her chosen field of study. This is college and information is not spoon-fed. It is a place for hard working individuals to pursue higher education.
When I talk about my school to my friends I tend to brag on how convenient it is. York Technical College is always offering classes. I can work a full-time job and still be in school working on my degree. I love the student teacher ratio, it provides and easy learning enviroment. The school as a whole is always looking for new ways to help students wether it is with financial assistance or student academics.
