Vera Yip Memorial Scholarship Award

This award is available for young adult survivors of cancer who were 15 years or older during treatment, or 15 years or older during the treatment of their parent or sibling.

HBCU Connect Minority Student Scholarship

HBCUConnect.com encourages minority students from all around the nation to pursue bachelors degrees at U.S. historically black colleges and universities. Applicants must be minority graduating high school seniors, transfer, or full time undergraduate students attending historically black college or university.

Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski, III Scholarship

This award is for U.S. high school seniors, majoring in mathematics and/or science/technology who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and a competitive SAT score of 1100 or higher. Preference will be given to students who will attend University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).

Sheila Z. Kolman Memorial Scholarship

This award is for U.S. high school seniors in Baltimore who have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need. You must major in the field of education or a related field and aspire to become a teacher. Students must. You must submit an essay describing your academic and professional goals, why you have chosen them and what you have done to prepare yourself thus far (300-900 words; 2-4 pages).

LITA/LSSI Minority Scholarship in Library and Information Technology

U.S. and Canadian citizens who will have earned no more than 12 hours towards a Master of Library Science degree by June of the award year are eligible for this award. Students must be members of a principal minority group; attend an ALA-accredited school; and plan to enter the library automation field.

University of Maryland Baltimore County/CollegeBound Foundation Tuition Scholarship

This award is for U.S. high school seniors who have have a cumulative 3.3 grade point average or better; and have a combined SAT (critical reading and math) score of 1200 or above, or ACT score of 27 or higher. Students must also have applied and been accepted to the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
