Established in 2003, the HBCU Council of Shiloh Baptist Church offers the Rev. Dr. Wallace Charles Smith HBCU Scholarship Award of $2,000 to an incoming freshman at an HBCU with a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Carolyn M. Harris HBCU Scholarship Award

The HBCU Council of Shiloh Baptist Church offers the Carolyn M. Harris HBCU Scholarship Award of $1,000 to an incoming freshman at an HBCU with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who is a member of a musical group or (music) education major.

DFBSST Scholarship

The Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology (DFBSST) provides scholarships to African-American undergraduate students who enroll in scientific or technical fields of study at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

The ESPN Scholarship

The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) is partnering with ESPN to help pave the way for Black women in the sports media industry. One undergraduate and one graduate female African American student will each receive a $3,750 educational scholarship.

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is partnering with Rap Rotation, amazon music’s flagship global hip-hop brand and playlist that spotlights the best in hip-hop. NAACP’s Agnes Jones Scholarship

The NAACP Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship honors its namesake who was a long time member from the San Francisco branch with up to 40 scholarships for graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students based on GPA and financial need.

Anarcha, Betsy, and Lucy Memorial Scholarship Award

This $5,000 award is given to honor three former enslaved women knowns as the Mothers of Gynecology. The award will be given to one (1) African-American woman who is a known descendant of American slaves, and is enrolled in an accredited US medical school program. Finalists will be interviewed by Dr. Thornton.

The Maasai Haile Jones Memorial Scholarship

The Maasai Haile Jones Memorial Scholarship is exclusively for residents of San Jose, CA. Eligible applicants must be African American students who are high school seniors or college freshmen. Three finalists will be selected. Grand Prize: $10,000. First runner-up will receive $5,000. Second runner-up will receive $2,500.
