I love the location of Curry College. I have the best professors, who are eager to see me succeed. I have met the best people at Curry. The campus grounds are beautiful. The dorms are less to be desired. The cost of the college is very high, the dorms are not great, we have freezing bathrooms, barely hot water, and mice in the dorms.

Curry College is a great school, but just like any other great school, you have to advocate and get involved for your own success. The facilities on campus such as the workout center, counseling center, student center, and library are all great places to be and make new friends! The professors are super kind and will help you if you reach out to them.

Olivia

Small school, which is comforting. Great professors you are able to form professional relationships with.

Rebecca

Curry College is a great school for academics. During the week there is always something to do, On the weekend most students go home. Weekends tend to be boring. Overall I am enjoying what I learn in the classroom. The professors are nice and are open for office hours whenever you need as long as you communicate with them. There is a lot of support systems on campus from the writing center to the math lab. As long as you reach out there is no way you can not succeed.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would say, Self, there is a whole new world concerning college life. You think high school was hard sometimes, college can be a bear. You will need to spend more time studing instead of hanging out with friends, watching sports. If you decide to play sports, you have to keeps your GPA at the level that the college requires. You might have a few days when you don't think it's all worth the trouble. When that happens, look to your fellow peers/fellow students. Talk to them, ask if the have the same feelings. Majority of the time, they are. Lots of time, take a deep breath, go somewhere if you can, and enjoy life. The biggest advice I can give you as I have always been told, "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade". I still live by that.

That campus life is dead on the weekends most of the time. That problems are not taken care of by the residence life staff. Campus life is ok, but there is only a small selection of things to do on the weekends.

The teachers are there for the students, and student activities always has things planned for us on campus, but we pay over fifty thousand dollars ayear to attend. This makes so many people transfer out, even though its such a nice school. Alot of my friends ended up leaving, so I'm trying to hang in there as long as I can!
