I think Milwaukee Area Technical College is a great place to start and get the general classes done. It's a comfortable, small campus which is easy to get around in. There's incredible facilities like a cafe, library and lots of tutoring opportunities. I highly recommend MATC for the first 2 years to get classes done and make the switch from high school to college life, then transfer to whatever school you'd like to go.
MATC is good for students who have jobs but if you don't have a job, I believe they should go to a universities. MATC can get packed real quick. Sometimes it's a waiting list for classes. Who wants to have to wait until the next semester to attend college. My best advice is if you do go to MATC don't go to the one downtown everybody is at that one. Sometimes it can be a distraction.
MATC is the best college! They open their doors to all communities without judgement, no matter what your past look like. It's the perfect school to get a second chance at a college life. There's so many opportunities a student can take advantage of including, tutoring, student organizations, extracurricular activities, The Promise Program for high school and adult students, sports, campus food, and many more! The counselors are AMAZING! They help students understand their program plan and provide them with beneficial resources to help students succeed. The class sizes are small enough for each student to receive individual assistance, and the teachers are very supportive! MATC even provide emergency assistance, such as food, financial aid, and sheltering, to students who suffers from hardships while still in school. To me, is a great college for parents because that also offer childcare while parents attend their classes. MATC provides bus passes to help student have transportation to get to and from classes, including the weekends. MATC is very multi-cultural! You can find events going on campus that allows you to learn about different cultures food, clothes, language, jewelry, music and many other amazing things. They even offer opportunities to study abroad! There are over 200 majors a student can choose from to pursue an IN-DEMAND career, and the best part is that the credits can transfer over to a four-college! What more can I say? Milwaukee Area Technical College is the best place for a student to pursue their education!
I love this school. I am getting an amazing education for half the price of a true culinary school. Even though this isn't a high end culinary school, I am still learning the same techniques, if not better ones than them. The teachers are always there to help me as well. Even after class hours. They have also helped me find a job or two.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Milwaukee Area Technical College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I could go back in time and talk to myself about college. I would tell myself things I need to do to become a successful college graduate. I would tell myself to get good grades in high school. I would tell myself what I want to major in and stick to that career. So, that I would not waste any time or money going to college. I would apply and receive scholarships to help pay for my college degree. I would tell myself to, go to MIlwaukee Area Technical College and complete my associates degree in Paralegal studies. Because it's a great school and it's affordable. I would tell myself to go to college right after high school. Before I decide to have a family so, that I wouldn't have any reasons to get distracted. Then, I would tell myself what my next goal would be. Which would be to attend the University of Milwaukee Wisconsin to complete my bachelors degree. Then I would tell myself to take my education even further . So, I could become the Lawyer that I want to become while I am still young vibrant and intelligent.
In my opion my school is socially active.
Milwaukee Area Technical College is a great school that has my major.
The worst thing about the school would be, after the winter term is over there is no fun activities.
The type of person that should attend Milwaukee Area Technical College is intelligent. They should want to take college level courses that are affordable. They should want to have work hard to recieve his/her associates degree.
The instructors I have had are not strictly academic, but actually work in the field.
Students that want and know that MATC offers a number of associate degrees. It is a community school that offers weekend, evening and day classes at its downtown campus. Milwaukee Area Technical College maintains a faculty/student ratio (full-time) which is better than most colleges. The full-time faculty at the school is well-paid, which often goes with faculty quality. So if a person is mot interested in what they have to offer they shouldn't attend Milwaukee Area Technical College.
The most frustrating thing about my school is nothing.
Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is a publicly-supported, comprehensive, higher education institution committed to increasing the potential and productivity of the people in its district. The largest two-year college in the Midwest, MATC reaches students through the delivery of high-quality instruction and programs that are consistent with current and emerging educational and labor market needs. Known as a leader in technical education and instructional innovation, the college offers 150 associate degree, technical diploma, and short-term certificate programs. In 2000, nearly 90 percent of graduates were employed within six months of graduation.
In my opinion, Milwaukee Area Technical College is not too large and not too small. It is just right that we like to attend this college for an associate degree. This college is for students who are struggling, who is a parent or single parent, for someone who may need help with government assistance. This college is great for us who are looking for employment; MATC has job fairs like every 2-3 times a month. MATC also help students that wants to further their education, MATC partners up with the 4 year colleges so once our done we will have no problem registering for the college you will be like pre-enrolled, they also have college fairs, healthcare fairs, blood drives etc. MATC have so much to offer for the students that attend the college. And they show us so much respect and love. I am enjoying being there because I learn how to deal with different cultures and religions. The professors really do try to help those who really do want help and not just trying to get a check. MATC is college that treats us like an adult and not a child. They understand that in the real world we have to deal with mature responsible people, in the world they expect us to be responsible and mature. It also includes exercising our rights and acting in a responsible manner goes together. Some of the College's rules and regulations are simply restatements of existing laws, such as laws against possession, use, or sale of controlled substances (illegal drugs). It is the responsibility of all MATC students to comply with the policies as stated in the Student Code of Conduct and obey all public laws. This compliance assures all students the opportunity of having the best possible educational experience. MATC students have the right to be informed by the College through individual departments and/or divisions of policies and procedures concerning student conduct (Student Code of Conduct), course requirements (class syllabus), and ethics and professional conduct (as outlined in the division/department handbook and/or class syllabus). This information is published and/or electronically posted. MATC students have the right to be evaluated fairly on the basis of their performance as required by the instructor as part of the course. These policies may also include published or posted standards of conduct for recreational, lab, and learning areas, including clinical facilities. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of such published policies and procedures and to seek clarification, if needed, from the Office of Student Life and/or the appropriate academic department.
I wish I would of know that M.A.T.C had sport teams that I could have played.
