Muskingum University is a great campus. The campus has great views especially in the fall season. The teachers are amazing. In the education department the professor really want you to learn information that you can use when you go into the professional field.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

It is a perfect school for someone who wants to have a home away from home, it’s big enough that you don’t know everyone but small enough to where you meet your forever friends and really make good memories. It is good for kids who need the step between childhood and adulthood.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love Muskingum University with all of my heart, I have found my home here. I was skeptical because it is so close to home and my mom was an alum, but I couldn't picture myself anywhere else. I am a first year student and I already feel like such a leader. There are endless opportunities I never imagined that I would have and I have created some of the most amazing connections with my professors and peers. The housing could use some updating, but that will happen soon enough with time, but I am extremely pleased with my decision to go to Muskingum University.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Muskingum University is a place where the faculty are dedicated to your success as a student and beyond. The small class sizes allow for a personal interaction with your professors. I am on a first name basis with a few of mine. Everyone on campus is friendly because it is such a small school that everyone knows each other. It feels like one huge Magenta family.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love it here. Its a beautiful campus. Everyone here is so friendly. The staff, students, and coaches are very supportive and take the time to get to know you. The athletics here have been outstanding and the community support is top notch. The classroom size is fairly small which is more inclusive for learning. I cant say enough about the food. There is always an alternative selection if the meal isn't appetizing enough for you. This place has a lot to offer

Local, close nit, they want you to be active and get good grades. They make you learn to balence ALOT. It is very friendly though over all

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

STOP worrying Jonnie. You have a 3.6 GPA and a higher then average ACT score. All your hard work is going to pay off. Try to lay off of some of the worrying, or else you will give yourself an anxiety attack. Post secondary will help alot. You should've done it both years instead of just one though. You were better at it then highschool anyway.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

That everything would be okay. I'll get into the college I wanted to. My grades were good enough and to not stress so much. I could have prevented alot of anxiety that way.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Muskingum University is best known for their education department and a PLUS program that helps students that have learning disabilities. They are also well known for their liberal arts requirements that help to create well-rounded individuals. Another thing that they are well known for is having good professor-student relations. Muskingum is also known for being a small school, there are not a lot of stores or businesses that create districations to academics. There are also numerous social activities and clubs to get involved in and a beautiful, hilly campus.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior and give myself advice on transitioning I would say that you should know that college will be tough. You've never spent more than a week away from your parents and it will be very hard. That during the first semester you will be spending seven weeks away from your parents. I would say that you got through it and made so many amazing friends by just being you. That you will be overwhelmed during your first year, but that its all a part of the college process. The food is not the greatest, you'll adjust. Don't be afraid to get involved because there are so many opportunities available on campus. You'll meet amazing girls and eventually join a sorority. That you'll be okay, don't be afraid to go away. Because in your heart that's what you know that you want. And don't give up on that becuase of going away you will grow and mature and love every second of it. One last thing choose Black and Magenta...

What kind of person should not attend this school?

The type of person who should attend Muskingum University is someone who would like to go to a smaller school. Where they can get help the help that they need from professors and many other resources such as: a student success center and a PLUS Program that caters to students who have learning disabilities. Someone who doesn't mind stepping outside of their comfort zone and likes to get involved. Someone who doesn't mind taking a wide range of classes to fill liberal arts requirements.
