NEMCC is my first college experience. As a small community college, it allowed for excellent student and teacher interaction. I live on campus and feel that the living facility and other student areas are well maintained. I have had an excellent experience at NEMCC and would recommend this college to anyone who is pursuing higher education.
Northeast is a great way to begin the educational process for those not ready to attend a four year institution. While there are many reasons a student might not be ready, Northeast enables all students to develop by providing a supportive atmosphere and helpful teachers.
I have truly enjoyed my experience thus far. The staff has been amazing and I couldn’t imagine a better place to start my college career.
Going to college has always been one of my biggest dreams. In 2018 I got to expierence college for the first time, at Northeat Mississippi Community College. The teacher and professor were great, they taught us and welcomed us like a family. I am so glad Northeast Mississippi Community College accepted me and let me attend. I can’t wait to get a degree and begin my journey of life.

If I were to go back in time to see myself as a senior I would have several pieces of advice I would give me. The first of which would be to work hard on finding all the money you can. I would explain to myself that it's much easier applying for scholarships as a senior than as a college student and there are more for graduating seniors. I would also tell myself that I better be prepared for a long hard road. I would tell myself that college is far harder than high school ever was. Another thing I would tell myself is to always start one's college day off at eight so that you don't have to get there earlier than you need to just get a parking spot. I would also tell myself not to take Miller's class because I'm never sure when I should be taking notes. Overall, I'm not really surprised by how college is different. I honestly don't think there's many things I could have told myself to make it any different, but if I had the chance that is what I would tell myself.
If I had to describe my school in one sentence I would say it was a good choice for a starting point in furthering my education in the field of study I have chosen, it is a smaller, although growing, college but has lots to offer todays college students.
They are friendly and welcoming.
I wish I knew to apply for more scholarships earlier.
The most frustrating thing about NEMCC is the lack of updated technology to learn the current or even advanced systems that are out there. For example, the computer apps. class is still learning on Windows XP, when the current one has made 2 advancements in their systems. It feels we are behind in the world before we've even started.
Some classes are more challenging then others but the teachers help you out as much as they can.
Band, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. BSU, sports teams,
It is a great community college. Faculty and students are friendly and welcoming. The class are challenging but teachers help you out as much as they can.
The best thing about school is the challenge. School challenges in many ways by allowing students to be independant for the first time, by giving tougher assignments, and by giving a jump-start on our careers.
The worst thing about this college is probably its location. The school is located in the middle of nowhere. It is from any big town. This makes it so that there is not much to do around campus. There are no movie theatres, bowling alleys, or anything for many miles from the campus. The absense of stuff to do makes the campus and town a very plain and boring place which is the worst thing about the school.
Anybody can attend this school if they have an ability to learn.
A person who doesn't intend to study and work hard shouldn't go to this college. Even though people might think that community colleges are a breeze one must be prepared to do work. Someone who is lazy and doesn't care about school just won't make it at Northeast. It's not a super hard college but it isn't super easy either. People who aren't prepared for the long road ahead shouldn't go to this school.
The thing I brag about most is the teachers there. They are friendly and are always wanting to help you in any way they can. If you have a question about anything they do there best to answer your question so that you can understand.
