My overall opinion at pearl river community college is it is the best community college in the state of Mississippi. I am so glad that I choose to continue my education at PRCC. From the small class rooms sizes to the cafeteria food, PRCC is the best and I have excelled academically there as well. Going to PRCC was the best academic decision that I have made my entire life.
My overall experience at Pearl River Community College was great! I enjoyed visiting the class rooms, the cafeteria, the dorm halls, and much more. The students there made me feel as if I was already a student. I got an actual feel of how the campus was overnight, by staying. The whole PRCC experience was GREAT!
I love PRCC they have pride in their school, and in their students and I believe thats the best it could be. They provide classes on campus as well as online and it is very effecient. I have taken both and had no trouble with the professors. The college has several different campuses spread out in the lower part of Mississippi so it is very convient and a student does not have to travel very far if not housing on campus.

I would tell myself this : After High School, only one of two things is going to happen. You will either, further your education by attending college, or "LIFE" will happen. When "Life" happens, you find a job that pays your bills, yet you still live paycheck to paycheck. Next you get in a relationship, and possibly have children. Eventually the bills begin to pile up, money is being spent quicker than you can get it, and before you know it , good ole faithful , Father Time, has passed you by. You'll be 10, 20, 30 years older and still working a dead-end job, or two, and have nothing to show for it. It is imperative, that you get your college education....you don't just want a J-O-B, you need a CAREER. Something that you'll be able to truly live off of, and have something to look forward to retire from. In this day and time their are very few jobs available for those people without an education. Don't procrastinate, because in your procrastination, LIFE WILL sneak up and over take you. It will be more difficult then to make up for lost time.
The best thing, I believe, that my school has to offer, is Great Teachers.
I love how our school has a great gym and walking track. The teachers here are very down to earth and will help with anything. The school is in a small town so everything you need is close by. Because this is a small town, people are like family and you can always ask for help if you need it. Our campus security is great!
Anyone who is looking to transfer to a 4 year university. The school has a great system in place for those who need engineering prereqs. It's also a good place to come if other schools haven't gone well for you.
An unmotivated person. Someone who isn't really interested in learning or furthering their education. Someone who is just looking to get a refund check , and or take out loans.
My school is a place where even your wildest dreams could come true.
Classmates tend to be nice and hard working. If you're taking math and science courses, expect the class to be full at the beginning of the semester and not so full come the end.
The worst thing about my school that I attend now is the library and learing lab plicies. You must have your student ID visible to pick up papers that you print out. You also can only print out one copy of documents or they charge you for each page. Sometimes it seems as though they are trying to make it inconvenient for students instead of helping them.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible.
