I like St. Charles Community College because it provides a quality education in a safe area for a relatively low cost.
This school is a typical community college atmosphere. The classrooms are great and the teachers really want you to learn. The only problem I've ever had is finding a parking spot up close, so get there early unless you are fine with walking. But overall the school is great! It's a cheap school for what you get.
I appreciate the moderate workload and academic nature of the material the professors assign to the students. In regard to the teaching and atmosphere, I believe English is the best department. Class size is usually on the smaller side, which lends itself to insightful in-class conversation and a deeper understanding of the material. Also, the honors program is both rigorous and enjoyable, and the professors are incredibly helpful in that department.
The college could be describe as an enlarged high school with a bunch of different buildings. The actually class are nice not to big, which is better to get more from the class and teachers. Overall the school is great for using A+ and then transferring to a larger university.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for St Charles Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Wow, college life is so not what I expected. Yes you have a lot of freedom but picking the right college for you is probably the hardest problem kids face. For me I made a wrong choice, but made the choices for money to save. I feel like going to a two year has it ups and downs. Yes it saves a lot of money, but I feel you lose alot living at home and not being able to go apart. It is hard seeing and hearing everyone having fun at four years and you working your way up to get there and achieve. You know you have to worry about your family and how much they can afford but for the same amount you have to be happy too.
The best things about Saint Charles Community College was most of the professor's that I had offered extra credit! I never had that at my old college.
I wish I have known that this school offered so much. I had no idea the amount of programs offered, non-educational, and no idea that they were available to me until after attending two semesters.
A good student For SCC is someone who wishes to get general education out of the way to save money. Another student great for SCC is someone who doesn't know what they want to do yet. SCC offers many diffrent courses to choose from .and I've had friends in the past choose their carrers after attending SCC.
The availability of the teahers is something to brag about at my school. Every single one of my teachers so far has been constantly encouraging students to visit their office hours and are willing to extend them if needed. They want the students to ask any question that comes to mind and are always excited when they receive emails from students.
It kind of seems like im in high school again. Sadly some of the student s are not as comitted as others and treat SCC as a joke instead of an actual school it's kind of sad.
The most frustrating thing is that this school is very similar to high school and it does not feel like I am in college.
The people at Saint Charles Community College were average people.
We are best known for the tough math deparment. At SCC you are expected to learn the math not just pass the class.
St. Charles Community College is a smaller campus with smaller classes that can still provide me with a quality education in my field of interest. I know my professors and the other students in my classes, so I am comfortable asking for help if I need it, or offering to help out if my classmates need assistance. I also feel connected when I go online for information regarding class notes or activities. It is easier to contact a classmate when I know who they are. I am new at SCCC, but it really does feel like a community!
A person who s=is very intelligent and looking to go to a school more difficult than high school should not attend this school.
