I think Missouri State University - Springfield is a great school. It always gives opportunities to students who need them, and for those who are feeling lost faculty take it upon themselves to help them. Campus life is great, and there is always something going on if you need something more social to do.

Missouri State took me a while to get used to. As a current junior, I did not think it would take this long to feel accepted. I never thought of our Greek life being a big deal, I know plenty of people who do not participate, but unless you are affiliated in FSL tailgating, parties, and organizations in general are uncomfortable. I joined our Students Activity Council my sophomore year hoping to become more immersed into our campus social life, and while it did help, the organization did not help with mingling with other students--people who were in SAC were either friends before joining, or were in FSL. Although I have never affiliated with FSL Greek life, I met all my friends because of it. While it's not "Greek or geek" culture here, its encouraged among students to join; however, my experience has been fulfilling so far without joining. The academics are excellent. They are challenging, but not too much in the sense that I feel as if I'm drowning. Every teacher I have had has been nothing but accommodating and willing to help if you are struggling with a concept. Outside of class, teachers are extremely approachable. My freshman year, I was nervous going to my first office hour meeting, but the professors absolutely love it when you come to visit it them because it shows that you care enough about their class to seek additional help. I have yet to experience unfair grading or testing, and doubt I ever will because I do not know anyone in my field who has. Missouri State University does an excellent job preparing students for further academics and for future careers.

The campus is large without enough parking, but this is being addressed. There are shuttles and plenty of other services for traditional students. There are people from every country you can think of attending the Springfield campus. I have had some very good instructors and always feel safe on campus.

The Media, Journalism, and Film department is a joke, not prioritized, and needs to be completely overhauled. A lot of equipment doesn't work, but how great of the university to spend millions on a new football complex that will go to waste. To be fair, the professors are great, easily approachable and helpful.

Missouri State, overall is a great college. The college interacts with the surrounding community and establishes positive connections thru out the city. The staff members I have came in contact with all have been great and the classes are very diverse. The campus is also easily accessible and always feels safe. I really like being a Missouri State student.

Missouri State University is all about diversity. It might be cliche to say, but you can find anything and everything here. Being in a sorority definitely broadens your horizons, but just being on campus makes you feel involved. Whether it’s fundraisers selling donuts, or political and religious advocates screaming their opinions to every student that walks by, students get involved. Never in my life would I imagine seeing people stand up for what they believe in so much. Missouri State has really taught me how to grow as a person and be the best person.

It has been a wonderful transition into college life from high school life. I feel at home when I am around other MSU students. Everyone is very helpful and kind. I think of MSU as my home away from home. It is a wonderful college and the staff and faculty is wonderful.

I love MSU, the campus always has something going on and professors aren't afraid to stop and chat if they see you in the student union! The shuttles are confusing if you're a new student or a campus visitor, but the shuttle drivers are always willing to point you in the right direction. Campus always feels safe and inclusive!

I absolutely love being on campus. There are a ton of clubs and activities to get involved in, it's a very affordable university, and the professors are always friendly. There's always something going on at all times on campus, and I couldn't imagine going to school anywhere else.

Overall I think Missouri State Is one of the best hidden Schools across the Midwest. It is ever growing for a reason, with the past two years have been the two biggest enrollments within the history of the campus, beating out Mizzou and other colleges across Missouri.
