When visiting this campus, I saw a great amount of awesome people who exhibit natural and genuine behaviors. They are not big on parties or drinking, but are way more concerned with degrees and academics. They truly know what it means to be a leader with very valuable morals.

Missouri State University is a great place to be. Being here for my first semester was not as daunting as everyone makes college sound. I was able to meet new people the very first week. The university provided many events to accommodate new students. Overall, Education can be very challenging at times, it's just a matter of looking at which professors are the best for you and reading their reviews. The culture that comes along with Springfield is a mix of many different types of people, with many students finding different ways to go out and have a good time. Come join the MSU culture, Go Bears!

I really liked the atmosphere when I visited, and I actually like the campus, activities, and the environment so much I applied as soon as I got home! I love that everyone is so welcoming and that there is something for everyone to do. I also enjoyed that there are many different options for meals, housing, and degree options.

For whatever reason Missouri State doesn't offer academic scholarships to transfer students. Most Professors at MSU don't seem to really care about their students. Professors make students pay for online resources just so they can do their assignment instead of using the resources provided by the school. Don't transfer to MSU after just one year of college somewhere else because you could lose some credits and then be technically a freshman and they make you pay for a dorm even if you are living off campus. But hey the campus is nice!

  15. What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

At Missouri State University, there are a few different stereotypes around the campus, as is the case for almost any campus out there. These common stereotypes include things like jocks and, of course, frat boys and girls in Greek life. But one stereotype that isn't present on every campus is the stereotype surrounding a student body that includes those from the Midwest. Stereotypes about country students with small town lifestyles. But in my opinion, these stereotypes are not accurate. Of course, there are some students on the campus who fit the stereotypes to a T. But this is not the case overall. Missouri State's student body is extremely diverse when it comes to things like ethnic backgrounds but also when it comes to lifestyles and cultures. Missouri State may be a smaller university by some means, but it is not small or predictable at all when it comes to the cultures that make up the student body.
