SLU is a really fun place. It takes COVID-19 very seriously and the academics are great. SLU is also being more proactive about its history and recognizing its students' struggles. SLU is also located in beautiful Midtown St. Louis. It really is a great university. While SLU is by no means a perfect university, there are countless excellent students and staff working to improve it every day.
When you first arrive, Saint Louis University is welcoming and it is an incredible place to be. However as you spend more and more time at the university, you begin to notice more and more flaws. Although many faculty members do care about the quality of the student\'s lives, it appears that the university is a money-hungry beast that only has one thing on its mind. They typically nickel and dime students over frivolous matters go so they can fatten their pockets a little bit more. I am very grateful for the opportunities that SLU has presented to me; but without a doubt, there are countless things I would change about the university.
I love SLU. Initially, I thought it would be super boring because of the area around campus. But do not let that fool you, SLU has so much to offer its students. There are so many places to have fun around campus & making friends is super easy. You can always find people out at any time of night & they feel safe doing so because SLU patrol is always around, keeping the fun safe. ;)
I fell totally in love with my university the first day. The campus in Madrid, Spain, is also excellent and with an amazing and open-minded community. I met people from all over the globe along with their traditions, languages and cultures and I have completely loved every part of it. I totally recommend this incredible experience I am having.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Saint Louis University is 64%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would tell myself to call the university and see if they still offer the major you're interested in. I couldn't get into the university of my choice because I wasn't a top ten percent student. However, they offered me a program where I attend a sister university for my freshman year and take thirty hours. I met the requirements and transfered to The University of Texas at Austin, only to find out that they discontinued zoology as a major. I feel like I worked so hard just to get into a school that doesn't teach what I want to learn. I plan to finish my basics here, but I plan on transferring again to another university. I'm a simple person who doesn't like change, but here I am - switching schools every year. Whenever I get situated in a new location, make some new friends, and get used to my surroundings, I end up leaving and starting over again. If I knew that the university didn't have my major, I would have never applied to it and I would've been much better off. This advice alone would impact my life profoundly.
My classmates are all working adults and we all want to succeed in life. We have experienced the highs and lows of life and now at a point in life were we want to focus on success.
smaller school in a big city, always something to do. most frequent complaints are about the lack of financial aid and the fact that father biondi doesn't address student needs at all. faculty is excellent
Saint Louis Unviersity is an amazing campus with even more amazing and diverse students and professors.
I'm an occupational therapy student and am completely in love w/ my major. The teachers are amazing and all know my name. The requirements are rigorous but not impossible. I know that my degree will actually mean something when I graduate from slu.
the beauty of the campus
Greek life is not a necessity.
I wish I had known all the facilities available and had ulilized them when needed.
A person who values friendliness and is not too competitive. Someone who is not a big football fan. If you are smart and want to relax in undergrad, but still get a respected degree, this is the place.
The head of the program. Her name is Dr. Zeigler. She knows the industry of court reporting and is a leader. She nurtures and supports her students like few I have had the pleasure of meeting.
The Jesuit teachings of challenging the status quo. The focus on a warm learning environment for students to study in or socialize. At SLU, there is an emphasis on forming the whole person to be able to be productive and responsible members of society after leaving with a notable education.
Saint Louis University is a great school with so many great opportunities. It is a wonderful place for any person to come to learn and discover themselves. I would not exclude an type of person from coming here for a great education; it is an incredible place to learn and find new interests to endulge in.
for the most part, yes
That they are well-off, well rounded people from the midwest.
Not very responsive to commuter or non-traditional student needs
My university is best known for it's wonderful Internation Business program, along with it's great study abroad program.
Having a social life is difficult sometimes. There are only parties in apartments and you need to know people having the party to get in to it. However, they are a lot of frat praties. The party though are off-campus. There never seems to be must entertainment on campus.
Most students are upper middle class Catholics, predominantly from Chicago, Ohio, St. Louis. It is accurate.

Soccer and basketball are huge here. We don't have a footbal team, so those are the two big things.
