Saint Gregory's was my dream school when I first started in 2011, but has been through so many changes since than that I cannot say that it is the school that I fell in love with. As a Roman Catholic University we have professionals of the Catholic faith, but I feel that professors of the none Catholic faith follow the mission statement better then these Catholic professors and they, as none Catholics do not get the credit that they deserve.
Saint Gregory's University is a decent institution depending on the person. If you are one to not care about how well the facilities are taken care of (i.e. dormitories, outdoor areas, etc) then this school will be okay for you. With the overwhelming cost of $650+ per credit hour, one would think the facilities would be better kept up on. But on top of not having a completely clean living environment, the lack of teachers and the type of education presented by this institution is low. For a current student like myself, I have never preferred the teachings of any but one of my professors in the entire two years I have attended SGU.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for St. Gregory’s University is 42%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I know from experience that a college degree is not necessary to succeed in the world today, but with the knowledge and prestige you recieve from a formal education, it makes anything your doing easier and opens up many more opportunities. I run a Home Care Agency for seniors, but among my peers feel very underqualified and inexperienced. I am working on my degrees in Social Services and Business for a better footing in my business.
My classmates are very helpful and willing to help me out in any situation.
Unlike other schools, St. Gregorys's has a cemetary on campus and is accompanied by the presence of a monastery on campus. Having monks live on campus allows students to learn about the history of the campus and learn more about monastery life. The monks on campus always display excellent hospitality which makes the campus a very inviting place for everyone. The cemetary on campus also is a unique feature because it symbolizes the way the monks spent their lives; they never leave the place they devote their whole lives to.
The lack of graduate programs the Tulsa campus offers.
My school is very small and can be boring at times, but the people here are very friendly.
I work three jobs and i am very busy. i am able to keep my jobs and still futher my education. I love that!
I wish i would have known many things about this school before i decided to enroll here. I wish i would have known about the on-campus lifestyle and its surroundings, it diversity, extracirriculum activities, and the number of students enrolled here.
I attend the college for working adults that is a part of Saint Gregory university! i think that if a student is not decicated to thier purpose then they should not attent this school. the administration staff is very helpful and want to see thestudents succed at their goals!
When people ask about my school I tend to always tell them about the small classes and how you have professor's that want to be on a person level with you rather than knowing you as "the kid from that english class." Also, being at St. Gregory's is like having a home away from home. The community atmosphere is something i love about this school!
The most frustrating thing about my school is the visitation rules and hours.
