Oral Roberts University is the best university in the world. As Students take part in mission trips as part of 60 clubs that are available through the university. Here,in Oral Roberts University, it has weekly chapel services in Christ's Chapel, which are recorded and broadcast live through the university's television station and also via satellite.
At it's core, Oral Roberts is a university that loves God and builds it's students up to be the leaders of the future. It's a place for the hungry Christian mind that doesn't just want to attend a church service, but live in an environment constantly enriched by his presence. There's so many things to love, from the gorgeous campus, to the great professors, and amazing students. Of course ORU has it's downfalls, as every college does. At the end of the day though, I'm proud to be an ORU student, and I can't image attending any other college.
I really love that God has given me the opportunity to go and be a student there. God's presence truly rests there. Overall every student knows that they are there for a purpose. The president of the university seeks to provide the best opportunities for the students. It's a great school overall!
I personally love ORU because of the Christian atmosphere and how kind upperclassmen were to me when I first arrived. Also, all of the Professors that I have had so far are really encouraging and helpful. Oral Roberts University also has a thing about getting its students in shape and keeping them healthy. We have a beautiful campus and chapel is great. I could not ask for a better college!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Oral Roberts University is 68%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
My situation is a little different, as I am a non-traditional student. The advice I would of given myself as a high school student would be to not take anything for granted. School is a gift. It is very expensive and as I said should not be taken for granted. Although it is a joy to learn and is necessary for a career or certain professions, it is still a gift that should be treasured and viewed as such. To not value your education is a disservice to all, your family, your community, but mostly yourself. So, I would say, take every day and treasure it, every class and adore it and every moment of every day, rejoice in it.
The worst thing would be the cost. It is so expensive to go there and if you cannot find any kind of scholarships then you will leave with over $100,000 in debt from a 4 year career as a student.
I wish I had known how much it was going to cost besides tuition, I would have gotten a full time summer job to offset some of the cost. I was a freshman when I came to ORU so I mostlikely had the same experience as everyone else.
I really value the quality of education that I am recieving here from such distinguised and succesful people in a diverse arena of fields of study. Their success compels and inspires me to make the most of my time here so that I can excel in my career.
Someone seeking a Christian environment with a strong academic focus.
A person that doesn't wanted to grow deeper in their relationship with God or doesn't want to be stretched in higher levels in the academics.
I brag about the fact that my school is a Christian environment. All of the student and professors there are on fire for God and just kind and welcoming. Oral Roberts University has the most beatuiful campus of any college I have ever seen. We also have great athletics. These are a few of the things that I brag about.
Oral Roberts University is a comprehensive university interested in developing the whole person, nuturing traits such as intellectual abilities, physical fitness, and professional competence, so all who attend may succeed in whatever they plan to do in life.
They have a deep hunger for knowledge that I haven not seen in a long time.
Oral roberts university is best known for their great acadmics. We are huge on mind, body, and spirit. The number one goal of the university is to well-equip students for a job that they want, help grow them spiritually, and also keep them physically fit.
This will be my first year at Oral Roberts University. There are some things that bother me already, however. The school is very strict on behavior. Students are not allowed to have sex or drink. I think that is incredibly narrow-minded of the school. College is a place where you learn about yourself and become an adult, so why does this school insist on treating its students like children?
The most unique aspect of my school is the Prayer Tower which is located in the center of the campus. As a Christian I truly believe that prayer or declaration is pivital in my life. I do not believe that the location of the Prayer Tower is a coincidence because the founder Oral Roberts himself prayed in existence this beautiful and successful institution. The Prayer Tower for me, is a reminder of how things become. Just think about it, it's located in the center and if you walk around it, you will see exactly what Oral Roberts prayed for.
ORU is a school of about 5,000 which in my opinion is just right. Just enough to feel important and enough to make sure that everyone doesn't know you. ORU overall is about vision and helping you obtain it. If you want to be motivated and find purpose and identity on a global scale then ORU is the place to be. It challenges you to grow in every area of your life.
Class sizes are great. The professors are like minded in vision with ORU. And they truly care and make the extra effort to see you succeed. And thats probably an understatement.
Not at all. The University hosts a very large variety of people an ways of life. People are people wherever you go.
Probably basketball, soccer, RA's, and outreach/missions leaders. since we do not have a football team.
All Spiritual, Squares, Uptight, The usual things associated with a private Christian University.
That we are too "goody goody" people who don't know whats going on in life.
