I really like the school and it’s affordability. I believe if you’re going there, it’s for you to get an advantage. On your student loan debt they also offer tons of scholarship resources, and other resources to plan out your college career overall 10 out of 10. Also, there is a bookstore on campus cafeteria in numerous amount of clubs you can join. I believe the school is top-tier for full-time working folks.

Alexandea - 12/20/2020

I really enjoy TCC, they are quite easy to work with. Most of my instructors have been immensely helpful during class as well as outside the classroom. I have not had a lot of time to mingle with other students, but they seem like genuinely nice individuals. I would definitely recommend TCC to others who would like to get their first 2 years out of the way at a lower cost.

It was a great opportunity for me. Tulsa Achieves paid for my tuition which was a huge blessing. The professors are amazing. The majority are in it because they truly care, go over and above, and treat you like an adult. I learned a ton, the price is unbeatable, and it was a solid foundation to build on. I’m glad I went to Tulsa Community College.

Katie - 12/08/2020

I somewhat enjoy it. Covid-19 has not let me experience the overall college experience and I am only a freshman at TCC. Everything has been virtual and the classes are really boring but I like how there are many available resources at TCC. For example, Academic Advisors, free tutoring and contacting our professors isn't hard!

  3. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

I think TCC is rather high-quality for being a community college. Most community colleges are looked down upon kind of, because they're cheaper and things like that, but I think TCC sounds better than a regular 4-year university. I haven't been to one yet, but none of the classes exceed 30 people. All of the professors I've had are enthusiastic with their fields and supportive of the students. I haven't really been to any other community colleges, so I can't really say it's unique, but it definitely stands out to me.

  5. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I consider the long waiting list to speak with a counselor at Tulsa Community College to be the worst thing about my school. Despite dispersing a student body across 4 campuses Tulsa Community College still suffers from a 60-150 minute wait to talk with an academic counselor, regardless of what time of year it is. During enrollment periods this is to be expected, but the counseling office is always this busy. Granted, the college has attempted to remedy this issue by offering course enrollment and academic advisement online but more often than not these methods are more problematic.

I think the most frusterating thing for me was that they don't really offer all the classes for the degree program I'm in (Japanese). They offer the degree program, so why not all the classes? It makes sense that there's not enough people for the class, but I don't think it should be a hassle to have them avaliable, especially when you have the staff. Other than all that, There's nothing particularly frusterating.
