I really enjoyed Jamestown College. I plan to attend there next fall semester. I enjoy their sports programs and their class sizes are ideal for me. The people are extremely nice on campus and off. It is a very relaxed environment on campus and a very competitive atmosphere on the sports arena.
University of Jamestown is great if you are someone who likes smaller class sizes for a more personal feel. Everything is close together so if you do not have a car, it is not a problem. Professors are very understanding and helpful if you are a student athlete, and just overall in general. The food service changed which has improved the quality of the food by a lot. There is weekly chapel and workout classes to attend.
Honeslty love the college! Feels like home! You get to meet lots of new people, plenty of activities to go to, and amazing meals! Its nice because it's close to home where my family is so i can still visit and interact with them. Super satisfied with the university of jamestown!
This college is really good for someone who wants a small campus and plenty of different people to meet. Our food isn't the best but at least your sure to have someone to talk to while you're eating it. We have great sports teams and your bound to meet almost everyone on campus at least once.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for University of Jamestown is 57%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I had to go back to my senior year, I would tell myself to start life over, fresh. Jamestown is seven hours away from your house, so allow this to be the best experience that you could ask for. Things are going to be different, because it?s a different world, don?t change who you are. People like the original you, so be yourself. Also school is more challenging. Face the facts, grades come first because they follow you the rest of your life, but don?t make it a habit of just studying alone. Study with friends and socialize! The friends that you make here will stick with you for the rest of your. As for sports, learn from your mistakes, harness them and let them bring you up, not the opposite way. Learn to love the pain of working hard, because in the end it will pay off!! Also it tells the coaches that you want to be there because you love the sport, not just because you got a scholarship. Otherwise enjoy college to the best of your abilities, and get out and have fun.
That it is the perfect size and many people are involved in sports or other activiites
Jamestown College is a professional, academically driven small school where the faculty, staff, and students know each other, like each other, and come together to make the atmosphere light, friendly, fun, but yet stay goal-oriented.
It should be a person that expects to work hard to earn their degree, but also be a person that likes to have fun, be social, be able to make new friends from all around the country, and one that likes to enjoy life. A person that likes to do community service such as sandbag, read books to children, help the animal shelter, etc. should definitely come because one that wants to gain life experiences, this college and community is definitely the best place to gain it.
I wish that I would have been more aware of the general requirements for nursing majors at Jamestown College. If I had known them, I could have taken different classes during my senior year of high school that would have benefitted me for college.
For me, the most frustrating thing was parking during my senior year. I lived on campus, and if I were to leave campus, students who lived off-campus would park in the parking lot of my dorm because it was closer to their classes, meaning no parking spot for me, a person who lived at that building. I did report my concern, and therefore, a campus-wide email was sent explaining parking rules, and the issue seemed to get better afterward.
The majority of my classmates are very self-motivated and hard-working individuals who have interesting backgrounds and varying interests, talents, and abilities.
Friendly, open and helpful staff and student body. The campus is smaller which allows professors to know you by your name, not by a number. JC offers a wide variety of majors along with activities to become involved in.
The small class sizes is one thing that attracted me to this school. All of my professors know me by name, and it is easy to talk to my professors outside of class when needed.
Jamestown is a fairly small town. If a person's idea of fun is to be able to go shopping every weekend, it would not necessarily be a good fit. A person should also not come here if they are not willing to work hard, because a majority of the courses are demanding. If you try to get by doing just the bare minimum, you will not be getting nearly as much out of your education, and it will definitely not be worth what you are paying.

The worst thing about my school is that it is in my home town and it is hard to get away
