Don't be dumb. Be financially responsible and understand that everything you borrow, you will have to pay back. Go to college right after high school. What do you have to do right after high school more important than college? Putting off college just gives you too much time to get into trouble. It is much easier to do homework without three children continually needing your attention. Do everything in moderation, including having fun. It is okay to let loose, just do not let that determine who you are or what you do. Work hard and get good grades. Learn as much as you can in college. You will have to pay for it either way, might as well get something out of it. GOOD LUCK!
I describe my school as an excellent team of professionals that have ones best interest at heart. The main goal is to provide tools to graduate and be sucessful.
I'm not sure because I haven't started yet. But from what I could tell they were mature adults.
This school is designed for adult learners who are already in the field of their choice or need the education to reach their prospective fields. There is limited social interaction such as fraternities or clubs . The main focus is to become degree complete. You definitely must be disciplined enough to balance a work/home/school life. There is no hand holding here but the faculty and staff are extremely helpful and equip you with tons of resources to ensure your success. If you are seeking a quality education that fits your schedule than UOP is a great choice!
The best thing about University of Phoenix is the option to do all school work online.
UOP lacks social clubs but tries to make up for it through an internal social network. It may benefit the school to implement a student council, on campus social club, etc. to stimulate school spirit and allow the students to develop networks through other avenues.
I brag most about the conveience and fleiblity of the schedules training and workshops .Also they host job fairs .
The most frustrating thing about my school is having to be on team projects where everyone does not pull their own weight. I do understand it is suppose to simulate the real world working on teams. Even when one does not pull their weight it will fall sometime heavily on the entire team, the work still has to be completed.
