Worcester State University maintains a comforting environment every time I step foot on campus. As a commuter I have no clue what it’s like to live on campus but the students do a great job hosting events for commuters to meet those who live on campus. I would stay here my whole college journey if the offered my major but unfortunately they do not. Classes are not massive very little large lecture halls on campus to begin with. Many professors seem invested in student success.
I wish it was more of a residential campus. I don't feel like it offers much for residents & has unhealthy foods.
Worcester State University, overall, cares about their students and academic success, however, I feel that there is a lack of student activity and lack of diversity within the student population. Diversity plays an important role to college life therefore it brings down my rating of the school. Aside from the social aspect, the academics can also use more rigor. Many professors really care about the success of their students but there should be more choices for students on areas of study (it is very limited).
It's definitely a great place to earn your initial degree. Tons of resources, tons of acitivities, but also a great school for those who don't want any involvement and are just there to learn and go home. It's the only school I'll apply to in the area after going for a few semesters, so they're doing something right!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Worcester State University is 70%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If i could go back in time i would apply sooner and think more about trying to get scholarships because scholarships are an important thing to save yourself some cash.
I would consider the parking available to be the worst thing about my school. A lot of students and even faculty are late to class because there is not enough parking for everyone. I dont think the school caters enough to the needs of the students and faculty in terms of parking. I do have hopes that they will be able to fix this problems in the near future.
Person who would like a school where they liked their high school. This person likes to see the same people every single day of the week and likes to interact with the same people all the time. This person would also like a small tight campus with everything less than a 1/4 mile away.
Small and not diverse as much as it could be.
It is a small school thats not over crowded and close by my home.
its location and advanced technology
I love how its a 4 year college but its a big commuter school
The type of person that should attend this school is one that is looking to go to a smaller school. You will not have to walk a mile to get to class and you will be surrounded by good people. Being in Worcester, there is a lot going on outside of the campus life and if you are looking to do something different, there is something for everyone. The school is able to host a lot of interesting events. Only people who are serious about an education but also want to have a decent social life.
Few really want to be in class.
Worcester State is known for being an affordable school. As opposed to all the more expensive surrounding colleges and Universities ( Assumption college, Becker college, and Clark University), in WSC you can get a decent education without burying yourself in school loans and debt.
You don't always have to buy the books for class
