What do students complain about most?

Lauren

Students complain most about the food and housing. The food isn't the best, although there are a fair number of options. The dining halls also have weird hours. The housing options are all pretty old and beat. It is difficult to live in the few nice on-campus housing options.

Complaints from students usually involve a lacking of parking spots for students living off campus, the lack of housing options for upperclassmen, or the food. I am not living off campus, but I have heard that some students have to carpool to campus, or park a bit off campus and take the campus shuttle to school. The lack of housing options for upperclassmen is a more serious issue. The housing lottery for rising juniors and seniors probably needs to be reworked, however, anyone who wants to live on campus usually can, though it may not be their ideal living situation. Thankfully, Brandeis isn't a very big campus, so it isn't hard to see your friends. The last issue of the food I think is somewhat overblown, especially if it Freshman complaining. Some of those people have never eaten institutional food before, and don't realize the food isn't that bad, and that if you use all the secondary options on campus there is little reason to complain. However, by junior year the meal plan can get tiring if your still on it. But for two years it isn't bad at all. Trust me the food I had at boarding school was FAR worse, and schools smaller than Brandeis tend to have horrible food.
