Brandeis University Top Questions

Brandeis students are thought of as the upper middle-class social misfits that excelled through middle school. These students are highly intellectual/academic and probably financially fortunate (from good schools, neighborhoods, etc.). Socially, these students probably have very close friends who understand them and their quirky behavior, however once you place them in a "normal" school they are probably going to be that kid that might have some underlying social disorder, or just be incredibly awkward anyway. Additionally, Brandeis students are kind of thought of as Jewish along with the stereotypes coming with this: overprotective or involved parents (thought this is more of a stereotype for our generation's parents than "jewish" parents) and parents that are well-educated, well off, and still together. Finally, Brandeis students aren't really known for being California beach babes. They are probably short, dark haired, pale and not athletic. In fact, movement might seem a bit foreign to them.

1) Everybody on campus is Jewish, and there is no way to escape the Jewish bubble 2) People at Brandeis are only study-oriented and don't know how to have a good time.

Biggest stereotype is that everyone at Brandeis is Jewish. Another stereotype is that everyone is awkward. The school is super-PC to a fault.

Brandeis is for nerdy Jews who have poor social skills. A lot of kids here are unhappy because they wanted to get in somewhere better.
