Advice that i would give to parents and students is that small schools may seem like the wrong choice, but it's not! Small schools, means small classes, which means teachers get to know and like you a lot more. If you have a problem with any assignment the teachers are always there to help. Since the teachers know you more, if you have a problem with turning in an assignment in on time with good reasons, they usually give an extention. Getting to know the teachers on a more personal level is also good for the future. Some teachers may become very helpful when finding a job after graduating, giving good adivce and references. Smaller schools means your academic advisor knows you more and can help much more. You may even know the dean of the college, which will really help when looking for a job after graduating. You know everyone, which may mean more drama, but that also means more people to help you with anything. It also means it is easier to make friends and have fun at the school. Makes it easier then making new friends at a new high school. Small schools are the best!

There are alot of different qualities that would make a college the right college. As far as making the most of the college experience, the student should apply for as many scholarships as possible. No one want to live the life of a poor college student and working multiple jobs. Friends are also a big part of making the most out of any college experience.
