The typical William and Mary weekend depends on what your interests are. If you're looking for a party scene, you can find something at one of the frats most likely. And chances are someone on campus will know about things going on at other schools too (i.e. CNU, which is only a half-hour away). Alma Mater Productions (AMP) sponsors weekend activities, which you won't usually go wrong with. When I was a freshman, the RAs liked to sponsor some pretty good movie nights that were complete with free pizzas and brownie sundaes! The typical weekend at W&M is pretty chill, but you have the liberty to make it as hype or laid back as you want.
