Personally, my favorite tradition at Eckerd is going to celebrate nature at the tree of life or on the beach!

Eckerd College is best known for its study abroad programs. It has several opportunities to study overseas, and in several amazing locations. Some of the places students can study during the Winter Term, Spring Break, or semester are in London, the Galapagos Islands, Italy, Australia, Latin America, and India.

My school is known for many things, mostly including its location on Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg (a prime benefit for those in the Marine Science major or similar fields), its Waterfront program, and its amazing programs, including small classes and teachers who are very helpful in your learning and want you to get the best education possible.

I believe my school's reputation is influenced by its Marine Science program, which is the largest program on campus. Eckerd is also known as a party school. Some students don't drink, some do. Eckerd is not a dry campus. I do not drink alchohol, and it was not hard for me to avoid it while I was at Eckerd.
