Why did you decide to go to this school?

James

Ever since I was 5 years old, I knew I wanted to do something with airplanes, especially fly them. It was a dream I toyed with my whole life, and never thought I'd have a chance to get there because I had no idea how people went about getting into that field. As far as I knew, there was no such thing as an "aviation school or university". As I was starting to apply to college while I was in high school, I kept the idea in the back of my head, but figured the closest I would get to it was by just going to any engineering school. Lo and behold, one day I get one of those many junk packets you get in the mail when colleges know you are looking for a school. At first I thought to myself, "This advertises itself as the kind of school I'd want to go to, but it's probably just another engineering school that says you can get involved in aviation." Then I looked into it a bit more and suddenly realized that Embry-Riddle was exactly the kind of school that I had always hoped had existed. I knew from that moment that I was going to go to ERAU. And I have not regretted the choice at all.
