GW is often referred to as "g double Jew" or "Georgetown waitlist". Gw's reputation for japiness is completely deserved. However, though an admitted jap I did not apply to georgetown.

Where to begin? That all the students are Jewish American Princesses (JAPs) and spend daddy's money like it's water. All the girls wear spandex and huge sunglasses, and all the guys are your prototypical Staten Islander. Everybody here is from Long Island of New Jersey.

I thought GW was gonna be full of dorks from the mid-atlantic and people really interested in politics. I knew it was gonna be expensive, so I expected some rich kids, but I thought that the student body would be more concerned with grades than balling out.

G.W. is said to be overpriced and in some cases it is when considering some facilities and national ranking. Nonetheless, G.W. is a great school for intelligent and open minded people and most students are those people. You will meet your pervasively annoying Long Island guidos, your arrogant JAPs, and of course your stupid people who you wonder why they are here.

The main stereotype is that GW students are from the northeast, wealthy, and obnoxiously jappy. This is reinforced by GW's high tuition and accessibility to Long Island transportation hubs.
