Lynchburg College Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Kirsten

I feel the worst thing about my school is the lack of updates made in certain buildings around campus

Katelyn

The location of major shopping centers, a little far from campus, but there are plenty of buses and other transports to these locations.

Kaitlyn

The worst thing about this scool is that there is not much diversity. The majority of the student body is white/ caucasian. It would be nice to have more foreign exchange students, although that is beyond Lynchburg College's control.

Elizabeth

The worst thing about Lynchburg College is that when you sell your books back to the bookstore at the end of the semester they only give you about ten percent of what you paid for it.

Lysha

I think the worst thing about my school is that it is so far away from where my family lives. I live about 9 hours away from home so it makes me home sick every once in a while knowing that I cannot go home any weekend I want. When I'm upset about something or just want a home cooked meal I have to wait for a holiday or a school break. However, this has made me closer to my parents and I call them multiple times a week.

Lynn

The worst thing about my school is the lack of respect some students show the professors. I feel this way because most of these students have just graduated from high school and they seem like they are just going through the motions to get through the day rather than taking advantage of the knowledge they could be learning.

Jasmine

Paying for school out of pocket is the one thing that I do not like about my school. I really believe that would go for any school.

John

The repetition of the classes. Many of the classes overlap in their content areas. What they do overlap is the most basic of information that I already knew in high school. It feels like I have been taking the same introductory courses since my freshman year. I feel that this has not prepared me at all for my career and has only wasted a lot of time and money.

Amanda

Honestly, there is nothing that I do not like about this school. Everything is accessible to students and the professors are all amazing and they take time to get to know YOU. This was the perfect school for me, and I love everything about it.

Jenny

The city it is located in. Lynchburg city is pretty small and over run with bible toteing evangelical Jerry Fallwell worshipers. Lynchburg is the buckle of the bible belt, so even though Lynchburg College is pretty Liberal the city is definitly not.

Gregory

Every once in a while we'll get locals coming to the college, which gets pretty annoying; however, the school does a good job getting rid of them and has included in future building projects ways to keep locals off the campus, especially on weekends.
