Tell us about your professors.

Jessica

The professors here at the Mount are all very nice! They will help any student out who needs it. Because we have small class sizes at the Mount, it allows students to build a strong relationship with their professor. Every one of your professors will know your name, and be there for you no matter what the circumstance is. Many professors are also advisors too. It's not uncommon to bump into them on campus. They're all great :)

At Mount Aloysius, the vast majority of our professors have worked in the field that they teach, get to know their students on a first name basis, and will bend over backwards to help those who put forth effort in their studies. They all have their own distinctive quirks and are super friendly.

The professors are one of the main reasons I recommend this school. You really do get one on one interaction with them. If you ever have a problem, academically or otherwise, they are always willing to meet with you. If you can't come see them during their office hours, they will stay after, come early, or if they can rearrange their schedule to meet with you. I see my professors outside of class and it's not weird, but it happens all of the time. Some professors eat in the cafeteria along with all of us students, some of them come to every sports event that they can, others help out with different events on campus. Any way, you get more than an academic interaction with them, you get a more personal interaction that makes asking them questions in class easier because you are more comfortable with them.

The professors on campus are here because they want to be, not because it pays the most or they had no other option, and it shows. They are always willing to help. They love teaching, they get excited about different topics. Many hold doctorate or terminal degrees. They all have mandatory office hours, but will be willing to help you at almost any time if need be.
