Besides facial hair, body odour, and nudity, I think we are pretty well known for being an exceptionally gay friendly school. We also don't have grades; we have evaluations, which sometimes people complain about. I believe Glenn Beck criticized us in one of his shows. We actually had a party to commemorate being burned by Glenn Beck. That's how New College is; obnoxiously different. The no grades thing is actually a lot harder than it sounds; you have to put a lot of work in to get a good evaluation.

My school has just been updated and now is known best for nursing as well as pyschology.

We are best know for our unique academic system, small classes, involved professors, high academic standards, "hippie" or "alternative" culture, small residential campus, focus on independent and research-oriented learning, crazy parties, responsible and highly involved student body, and liberal political views.
